purchasing tickets

I plan on purchasing (probably through Ticketmania) WDW tickets 7 day base w/ hopper and expiration w/in next couple of days although we don't leave for our trip until 9/29, my question is if you purchase tickets ahead of time when do they actually beome "active"? Would it be the day that you check in? Also when would they actually expire?

The tickets do not become "active" until the first time they are put into the turnstile at one of the parks. They will expire 14 days after the first use, unless you get the non-expiration (you also have 14 days from the first use to modify the tickets... add more days, add no expiration, etc).

FYI - if you find that you don't use your days, or you desire any other add ons, you can do that within the 14 days of original use too (like if someone felt ill, and didn't use most of their park days. Buying the no exp. is very worthwhile. )
