I've been watching the price of magicband+ for months waiting to catch a sale before our trip. One time ive seen the $45 group have a special if you buy multiple you get $5 off. Nothing for those that run $35. Any other sales have always excluded magicbands.

Is there ever an opportunity to get them at a discount? I just paid of my package and got a text for the disneystores upcoming sale, but the bands are again excluded.

I realize the magic bands do not have the same value in Disneyland as Disney World but I would still like to have them.

It's usually only end-of-season ones on sale, like after the holidays. It is very hit or miss. I have found some on ebay at better prices and also HTF ones if you are looking for special character. They really don't seem to put out a lot of new ones IMHO. not as many as I would like anyway...😊

I waited until Black Friday last year to purchase ours . . . and they still were excluded from all the promotions and discounts. I agree that the out of season ones are the only discounts I've seen (got a Halloween one in November for $15 off)

I've bought some from eBay and had no problems. Just make sure they are sealed/not opened and read the seller's ratings.

I was just going to ask about the buying off eBay because I had thought once they were used they couldn't be linked to another account.

If you’re a DVC member, keep an eye out for a Disneystore discount code in your email. I used a 20% off code 2 weeks ago on the Magicband+

There are a lot of new ones on there...my Dumbo and Bing Bong in original packaging for $39 each. I'm getting the Little Mermaid one for my birthday (they already bought it) and it was $42 with free shipping. I nearly pulled the trigger on the Donald one but it was $60 and I have already bought two new LF bags this month 😱😱😱

ADDED: IMHO, they are putting fewer and fewer on these in the park as well. WOD used to have a whole wall, now just on a little rotating rack...same with Emporium. There is a little pin shop in Tomorrowland that prolly has the best selection. I never could find my Cars one in the park where I would have gotten MK discount..finally ordered online when they got back in stock.

I think it is because not as many people use them at Disneyland. I have debated buying one because I figured I could use it for WDW but that trip got pushed out a year and I am afraid that they will change/update them and the one I get now won't work in 2 years. If I went to Disneyland more often and used LL or still qualified for DAS I would probably get one but since I don't I won't.
