Purchasing Gift Cards from Target

Has anyone used their Target Redcard and got the 5% off on Disney gift cards lately? I know I had read about this a while back but saw mixed messages on if it still worked for the gift cards. Was thinking about getting a Redcard for hot his purpose but I wanted to see if anyone had done it lately and it worked.

We bought them last month and saved 5% (you can no longer use the RX rewards in addt). I also got some at Kroger for the 4X fuel points and used our Southwest card there to get me over the amount I needed for the 50,000 bonus points.

Are you sure you can't get the 5% Rx rewards (scanned / applied before you swipe your RedCard as payment), and then get your Target 5%? :-(
We've been planning for that... Too bad Target won't increase credit limits beyond $1000 or $1200 or something like that..., :-(

Yes, as of March or so, the pharmacy rewards no longer works on gift cards. Or entertainment cards. Or whatever people want to call them these days.

I just learned this the hard way. In the past I have combined the Rx rewards with the Red card for a total of almost 10% off. I just got home from Target....it still gave the discount for the Red Card on my entire purchase, but only gave the Rx discount on the other items. The Rx discount no longer works on the gift cards. Bummed!

Would Marriott gift cards (do they even offer them) receive to 5% discount?

You can get them for 5% off at BJs too.

If they offer them, yes, you would get 5% off.

But checking the website, I don't see where they offer a Marriott gift card.
