Purchasing Disney Dollars At The Disney Store

Hi Guys!
I'm planning to purchase Disney Dollars at the Disney Store to take advantage of the Double Rewards being offered right now so my question is... Is there a limit on the number of dollars you can purchase in a single transaction?? We live 90 minutes from the nearest Disney Store so I wanted to purchase as many as we can. We can use them for our Disney World trip in June and take advantage of the Double Rewards. A win win situation if you ask me!!! Thanks for any info.

I suppose you're limited to how many dollars they have in the store. Maybe you should call first and see what they have. Sometimes they run short, so I'd call if I were so far away.

What's double rewards? Is that on the Disney Visa?

I was told last Friday night that it's $100 per person per day unless you are buying park passes as well, then you could buy up to $250 per person per pass. I'd call first to be sure either way, and get the name of the person you talk to.

I live in the Dallas area and have been able to purchase as much at $800 at one time with not even a flintch. It's news to me if there is any kind of "limit." My most recent experience was just last Friday for $400.

I would call the disney store first, sometimes they have to order what you want to buy. In the past, I have bought 600 dollars on one visit, but I live in a metro area, and that could make a difference.

It usually takes less than a week for them to get your order ready, or call the park direct, and have them shipped to you.

You won't believe this. I called the Disney Store just as told you I would and get this. They are CLOSED for remodeling until the end of October. I could just scream. Is there anywhere else I could purchase them and still qualify for the Double Rewards?? Can I call the next nearest Disney Store which is in Louisville and order them?? Are the Disney Stores allowed to sell them over the phone?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to buy $400 in Disney Dollars yesterday at store in Raleigh, NC. I was told limit was $300!

Ummm- not to be a mathematician- but is it really worth your while to drive a long way to buy disney dollars for double rewards? I mean- Even if you were to buy $1000 worth of dollars, that would usually net you $10 in dream dollars - so you would get $20 instead! That's a whopping $10 in extra dollars. Now, I don't know what gas prices are where you live, but here, they are almost $1.75 a gallon - so for me to drive an hour to get somewhere, I'm talking 120 miles roundtrip = 6 gallons of gas = $10.50 - so I've already lost money on the trip. Not to mention time and aggravation. ((Of course, you could charge the gas on your Disney visa- so that would gain you 10 cents more in dollars, oh, it's a complicated web we weave...)

I think you might be able to buy Disney gift cards thru disneycatalog.com now (to get the double dream dollars), then use the gift cards to buy disney dollars later at a more convenient time (Like when you are at a disney store anyway) - But I'm not sure about any of this- seems sort of like disney-money-laundering to me

I thought you could order them direct through Disney. You may want to call and find out.

I guess it may not be worth it to drive way out of your way for $20.

Let us know if you are able to order them direct through Disney.

I believe that you can order them directly throught disney. I would try calling 1-407-WDISNEY. Or talk to a travel agent. I have ordered stuff in the past through the disney mail order number, but i sortof misplaced that during my move. I have to figure out which box it is in!!!!! And there is a point why was all of the gas is you can order them through disney directly!?!?!?!
