Purchasing annual pass with DVC discount

We are planning on getting annual passes for our upcoming trip. I have a question of where to buy them.
1. Buy them online.....will my credit card be charged then or when I get to a park to activate them?
2. Can I buy them at AKL..as that is where we will be checking in? Or do I wait till I get to a park?

You can buy them now via the member website and pay for them now and lock in your price.

Exchange the voucher for the AP at the parks.
