Purchasing an upgrade at port

We are booked in a category 11 inside state and would really like to upgrade to an ocean view or verhanda. Does anyone know how much they charge for something like this at the port? Is it less than booking the upgrade initially? I know it depends on availability but if anyone has any experience with this please let me now.

IF it is available, it is cheaper to upgrade at port. The downside is that it is frequently not available.

Oh, I was afraid of that. Well, I guess I'll just count on a cat. 11 and be extremely happy if we can upgrade. thanks.
