What are the best tip and tricks you have for getting good deals on airfare?
40-45 days out?
Purchase on a Tue or WED?
Clear computer cashe and history each search?
A certain website or the individual airlines sites or AAA?

How do you find the best fares?

I get email updates from bestfares.com, (and farecompare.com, just added this one last week). The bestfare guy has a weekly column in my Sunday newspaper travel section also and has lots of good advice, plus cruise specials also.
