I purchased these tickets for the family back when Universal was building Harry Potter. Couldn't pass on the price :) with every intention of going. We were told at the time that they would be good forever until used for the first day, then they would expire in 7 days. What I am worried about is it also says on the ticket " Universal has the right to change the benefits of this ticket " There is no expiration mentioned other than " expires 7 days after first use" And will we be able to hop from park to park as I know you need to do when you ride the train and get off in either park. Thank you for any good advice in advance.

I read that non-expired tickets ended in 2007, but someone can verify. From what I've heard and read, you'll have to essentially show up to see if they are working when they scan, as other ways to check they had stopped doing so. However, it's been awhile since this subject has come up. So, someone might have a more updated answer, or you might have to call Universal personally to verify what you can do.

They should still be good.

You will need to stop by guest services and get the tickets updated.

If at all possible, I suggest you do this prior to going to the parks such as the day you get to orlando.

If you go after 6. parking should be free, or you can be dropped off at citywalk, go to guest services then get picked back up. There are several places nearby the driver can go to. It shouldn't take too long at that time of day.

There is an older thread of maybe year or two back about this
Use the search button to pull it up

UO did change how they handled exchanging those older multiply day passes

Those older passes will not scan at the gate so go to GS outside the parks
Many were told they were no longer valid

Send guest services an email to verify their present policy
Who knows if they will do an exchange on your old passes
There was a rush of many trying to exchange the multi day passes and UO stopped honoring them without a lot of notifications in advance
I had many sets of the 5 day and 7 day passes
I bought them back about 2003
I exchanged them to single day 2 park tickets prior to the change of policy

I bought them thinking my sons would be traveling with me back when those passes were selling for $79 and $99 each
I had the ap so I knew I would not be using them for myself

Last few years a few of my boys did come with me and used up some of the single day 2 park passes
Still have quite a few tickets leftover
Expiration dates on them still have time left

All you can do is contact guest services in advance for present policy if your passes can be exchanged

I have 2, 2-day tickets with 1 day left on each that we bought on your honeymoon back in 2000 still locked in our family safe. When we bought them they apparently were 'non-expiring." I often wonder if they would still honor those?

If on the back of that ticket it has the wording
non expiring or expiration of 2030,

go to guest services

They can replace your day ticket

They were "print at home " So there is nothing on the back. They only say " ticket expires 7 days after first use". But then there's the part about " Universal reserves the right to change the benefits " So that's what has me worried they won't honor them now that The Wizarding World is such a draw. Seems like the only thing we can do is contact guest services and hope for the best.

\Update : I called Guest Services and they tracked the confirmation numbers and told me they were still valid. If they cause a problem at the gate just go to Guest Services and they will take care of it. I think I will take the advice of others and go to Guest Services first. Thanks to all...….

Good you called and got confirmation!

You can go to the gate and if your paper sheet does not scan, have them walk you to guest services inside the park

Since the Tm was able to confirm your tickets were in the system, sounds like a good chance they will scan at the gate

I usually find GS at IOA less crowded than the Studios

But... all the GS can help you

Yes, I would definitely skip the step of being turned away at the gate.
