Yesterday, my next door neighbor's son and family came over to spend Easter with their folks. They brought their new dog, a very cute young mutt. I could see German shepard and beagle in her, but she looks mostly like a "Heinz 57" variety.
Anyway, our Max fell in love with her. He fancies himself a ladies' dog to begin with (even though he's fixed). Having a sweet little thing on the other side of our fence put him over the moon.
He kept bringing out his rawhides and toys to show them to her. Guess he figured she'd be impressed by all the stuff he has.
We went and had dinner with my in-laws, and the cute doggie went home while we were gone. Still, Max spent the evening looking for her with toys in his mouth. Even late last night, he was still looking out our kitchen window for her.
Now I know why they call it "puppy love."
