Punch embroidery

Hi, I'm trying to find a supplier to embroider the back of a cotton jacket for my DD...21 letters in all, no logo or other art. The prices I'm getting are $100+. I'm to the point where I feel like finding a way to do it myself.

Has anyone used the "Easy Punch" or other punch embroidery technique? Since it's a one-time project I can't really justify investing in an embroidery machine (and I think I would have to do it letter by letter on a home machine anyway).
