Last year I ran across a wonderful crockpot recipe on this board.

I was a naughty mamajoan and I LOST IT!!

Does anybody remember the recipe for PUMPKIN JOB??
It was sooo yummy.
Thanks so much.

Mamajoan,

I did a search and found this recipe. Could it be what you're looking for? Sounds good!

Pumpkin Job

16 oz pumpkin
3/4 c sugar
2 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 c Jiffy mix
2 tsp vanilla
2 Tbl margarine
1 can evaporated milk
2 eggs

Spray crockery with non-stick spray. Beat ingredients together until smooth with a hand mixer. Pour into crockery. Cook on Low 6-8 hours, High 3-4 hours. Top with cool whip or ice cream. Optional: add 2 apples sliced. Serves 6

Thanks so much.. I don't know if I remember the jiffy mix and the butter but it sounds right.. It is very easy and very yummy.. thanks so much!!

I'm going to have to give it a try, too. It sure looked like it got a lot of raves!

mamajoan - It may not have looked exactly like that originally. I posted this for someone when the search was down & added my own modifications - which included the apples. I think it was originally posted by Maleficent, Meriweather, Pumba, Kermit - or one of the other regular recipe gurus. ;)

I'm sure about the recipe calling for a "baking mix" though. It might have said Bisquick & I just wrote Jiffy because that's what I use - it's cheaper.

inky - This family, at least, asks for it if I don't make it at least once a week in the fall & winter.

Well, y'all made me curious, so I did another search and found the original, originally posted by -- ta da -- BethE. Now, I really do have to try this. You make it sound wonderful. I bet the brown sugar would be delicious.
