Pumbaa Lot Open and is there a shuttle?

I am finding conflictly info on the Pumbaa parking lot and know someone here will know the answer When is the Pumbaa lot open lately? Is it only on days like NYE or is it open on days Touring Plans ranks 8-10? Second part of the question being is there still a shuttle from Pumbaa to the parks? Last time I parked there was 2010 and there was a small shuttle. I know it is only about 10 minute walk from the structure to the parks but that can take forever with 3 tired children. Thanks in advance

I can't help a lot, but I can tell you that Pumba lot is open this week. I have seen the buses in the loading area outside DL and CMs have been directing people to them specifically to get to the Pumba lot. There are lots and lots of people here though this week, and I assume expected crowds are a factor in whether to use Pumba lot.

thanks so much for letting me know I called the motel 6 I am going to stay at and they said it is usually open weekends so I'm thinking it will be open at least a few of the days we are there if we decide to save a few minutes of walking Seems like if it is not open that will be good too because it should be less crowded
