Do they allow the toddlers to wear pullups in the club? ds 3 is just starting potty trainning. Have 2 months to go before the cruise. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Thanks,
Wendy

hi

i believe pull ups are a no no

this is from the DCL web site:

Children's Programming participation guidelines
and special requests

Physical and Social Interaction
Children's programming is open to all children* ages 3-12, who are:
- Completely potty trained
- Able to interact comfortably within our counselor-to-child ratio groups of 1-15 (ages 3-4) 1-25 (ages 5-12)
- Able to interact comfortably with peers of their own physical size and within our established age groupings of 3-4, 5-7, 8-9 and 10-12
(A child may participate in an older age group, if they are within one month of the minimum age for that group. Example would be a 7-year-old who wishes to join the 8-9 group and is within a month of turning 8.)
*Exceptions that may prevent participation:
- A child who shows symptoms of fever, vomiting, diarrhea, unexplained skin rash, discharge from the nose or eyes or has any other contagious disease or illness
- A child who becomes disruptive within the group. (Should this occur, it may result in the child not being able to participate in Programming, without a parent or guardian)

Pull ups are not allowed in the club. They need to be fully potty trained. I know DD had just turned 3 when we went on our first cruise and the cruise was a HUGE incentive for her to be potty trained. They do remind and take the kids, but the kids need to do it all by themselves.

I am also concerned as my kids are trained they just wont completed take care of themselves afterwards. I keep telling them they have to learn how or they will be with mommy and daddy the entire cruise. Hopefully is will work! We have until May at least.

Last year when my DD was newly PTd she went to the club during the day without a pullup & did fine. I talked to the head counselor & if we had dropped her off at night in her PJs to watch the late movies they would have let her wear a PU. They realize that some kids have a hard time when they go to sleep & not having to change them when they are sleeping late like that & just put them into bed is alot easier. DD never wanted to go back at night so she never wore one to the club.
