Pullman bed photos, anyone?

On our last cruise, my 6'2" teenaged son slept on the murphy bed. He loved it, because he could have his feet sticking over the edge. The year before, he was on the bunk, but he was shorter, so that worked out. This year, I'm looking at some cat 5 rooms, instead of cat 4, which won't have the murphy and may not even have the bunk.

I am trying to figure out if the pullman would allow him to hang his feet over the edge or if the back turns down low enough that the arms of the sofa become a head and foot board? Does anyone have any photos of that bed turned down? Or do you have any experience with them? If it matters, this would be on the Fantasy.

Here's a video I took on the Magic a couple weeks ago. Looks like the bottom bunk does have the arm rests on either end that would probably constrict a tall person - see 1:36 and later in the video.

That's what I was afraid of. I guess I'm paying the premium to get a murphy for my teen. Thanks.

Isn't the "pullman bed" the bunk that comes out of the ceiling?
Huh. I guess I may be wrong about the terminology? I don't actually know, just assumed that everyone was talking about the couch that folds over to become a bed. Anyway, that's the bed for which I needed the photos.

I checked my pics and the sofa bed in our room definitely still had the armrests up. Apparently in concierge that sofa bed turns into a double, but alas i guess the murphy is the best choice for your tall guy. boo.

I thought the upper bunk was the bunk bed and the lower bed was the Pullman bed. So wrong.

A Pullman bed is a bed that pulls down from the ceiling or folds out from the wall of a cruise ship cabin, allowing that cabin to sleep more people with less floor space.

A sofa bed, also called hide-a-bed, sleeper-sofa, or pullout sofa, is typically a sofa that can be converted into a bed, either by folding out the seat or by lowering the back to be flush with the seat.

A Murphy bed, also called a wall bed, pull down bed, or fold-down bed, is a bed that is hinged at one end to store vertically against the wall, or inside a closet or cabinet.

I thought I had a picture from our cruise! DD asked for this picture to remember her special princess sheets. You can see the armrests still stick up above the bed, creating a headboard and footboard.

Probably not super comfy if you're tall!

I’m 6’7”~ and I sleep on the couch every time I cruise, and I’m perfectly comfortable, but maybe that’s just me

The armrests definitely form a head/footboard. They bothered my 5'9" sister. She much prefers the murphy bed and now insists that we get staterooms that have one.
