Does anybody know if there are any pull-thru sites at the campground or are they all back-ins? Thanks!!

There are a couple of pull thru sites---Disney has just started playing with some--99.99% back in

over 780 campsites and only 2 are pull through, both in the 1200 loop, here is one of them

daddyscooltv: What amazing pictures. Makes me wish I was there. I love your fireworks pictures. Mine never turn out so well. Thanks!

Mickster thanks!! Thanks for the help on the pull through question, I guess I have to back it in ..

Good luck with the backing... some of those spots can be tight.

We have only been there once but we were not off to a good start. We had a 34' 5th wheel at the time. The spot they assigned us to was impossible for us to get into. We had to drive the truck around a curve in the road and try to back in 90° from there. No way.
So, we got another spot. That one took us forever to get into. People were waiting to pass on the road that we were blocking and that didn't help the nerves. The street is narrow and there was a wood fence directly across from the site right next to the road. Whew.

The next time we go to FW we'll be in a 38' 5th wheel. I am not looking forward to backing in! After we get in our spot the fun will start!

If you do get a site you can't get into, and I think it's happened to a lot of us, you can pick a nearby empty site that is more accessible, and then call the front desk from the courtesy phone at any comfort station and tell them which spot you were assigned and which one you ended up in. A few years ago I was given a spot directly across from the comfort station in the 1900 loop. Now my trailer is only 21ft long, but this spot was impossible to get into with anything larger than a popup with a 10ft box. I moved and notified the desk, and everything was cool. :moped:

And don't worry if traffic backs up behind you while you are backing in--it backs up behind everyone while they are getting settled and we are enjoying the show!!

:rotfl2: I know, I know. I just don't like to be the entertainment for the day! I would rather be the one watching! It really is like a show, huh?

Oh, yeah, and we are all thanking our stars that they didn't give us that site! Or hopping in to help, if needed. Our last trip there was a guy parking a 1000 foot (just kidding a little!!) horsetrailer into a short site--whew, I was glad that wasn't me. He finally gave up on that site and moved a few more sites down and found an easy one. That was a great show!!

Ask to see the big book before you drive back. It shows a plan view of all the loops, and you can get a pretty good idea what lies ahead. We have done this and said 'no way', and changed sites rite at the desk.

Funny story about pull the pull thru sites ... we got one awhile back, and they never told us it was a pull thru, we knew it from past visits. We watched three different campers pull into the 1200 loop, and back into the pull thru next door ... they were not told it was a pull thru either. I think they are 1203 and 1205, not positive.

I think Disney should develop River Country into a RV Park, upscale in every way, with pull-thru sites, etc. Charge for a "preferred site." The one drawback to the campground is that it wasn't designed for today's RVs. You can adapt, as we all do who have RVs, but backing into a site becomes a challenge. I think a "RV Resort" would be a good money maker for Disney.

If you are assigned a site you can't get into call the front desk. Dont just pick your own site. Most sites are already assigned and you might be putting uourself into a site that is part of a magical gathering. The front desk will be happy to help you in any way they can.

hatchmo, we've been saying this for years! Make it really deluxe and they could even sell it as DVC. I keep putting this down on all our surveys....wouldn't it be nice to camp with a lakefront view!

Sorry, but this is what FW told me to do. They just need to know which site you got into.

:stir: Where's everyones since of of adventure!?!?!? :duck: I love to rock the post with the site number out of the ground so I have that little extra room to make that turn. :rolleyes1 Brush guard on front of the truck also helps!!!!!! :sad2:
