How comfortable are the pull-out sofa beds? My family consists of my husband and I, our two children (16 and 5) and my mom (64). We are debating a one-bedroom at GCV and just contemplating sleeping arrangements.

We could also get a regular hotel room at Paradise Pier and have two queen beds and a sofa bed (very comfortable), so I'm a little hesitant at paying more for a room where three of us would have to sleep on a sofa bed and a pull out bunk.

Anyone know how comfortable the pullout couches are? Disney has a way of making everything comfortable, so I'm guessing there is no metal bar pokling you at night, etc.

:) DH is 5'7" and 260lbs. He used the pull out and I slept in the queen bed in our studio all 9 nights. We both have Cpaps and sleeping issues so many times we sleep separately. I offered to share the bed of course but he said he was fine on the pull out. When you are at WDW you are so tired he probably could have slept on a towel in the bath tub and been OK.:rolleyes1

My DH shared with our 3 yr old one night this last trip and he was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they actually were! He said because it was foam he didn't even really notice the little one moving around.

I've slept on the SSR pull-outs and they are perfectly comfy. :thumbsup2

Ive slept on the ones at Sarataoga Springs and AK Lodge and they are just fine...no complaints

I slept on the pull out at BLT with my 4yo and 8yo and didn't have any problems. I was sure I was going to wake up with a stiff back, but was pleasantly surprised!

We have stayed at GVC in a one bedroom last September. There were 5 in our party as well. My mom slept on the murphy bed in the living room and my dd 14 and dd 10 slept on the pullout (also in the living room). My DM liked the murphy bed and my girls said that the pullout was fine. If your family would be happy with that arrangement let me just say that it was wonderful having 2 bathrooms a full kitchen and lots of room! :yay: We love GVC. That said, our next trip will be a 2 bedroom dedicated so that my mom and one daughter can each have a queen sized bed and the other dd will enjoy the murphy bed in the living room. If I were to make a choice between a regular hotel room and a one bedroom at GVC I would pick GVC in a heartbeat.

Just slept on the pull-out couch in the living room of the AKV 1-bedroom unit three weeks ago. We were staying on the sixth floor of Jambo House, so it was a concierge room- but no differen than the other pull-out DVC couches in Jambo House, as they were all renovated at the same time I believe.

Found it to be comfortable. No complaints. Shared it with my best friend. We're both 20 y.o. and 5'3" and 5'4". We stayed for a week. That said, we were so tired after full days in the parks that we pretty much fell asleep watching TV every night. We weren't not tired enough to pay attention to comfort I think! Disney does seem to have that affect on me..

If I book a studio for 2 adults but would like to sleep separatly, should I tell MS during reservation or latest at check-in that we need the sofa?

Will it be made up anyway or would we need to put on sheets etc. ourselves?

How easy is it to be pulled out or pushed back in?

We had no problem what so ever. DH and DS (5) slept on it all 7 nights. We just left it out the whole time, and we were fine. I couldn't imagine putting it away and pulling it out every night. Besides, you're so tired at the end of the day that they fell into bed after showers.

At HHI our 17 DS slept on the couch for a week.....he said he didn't remember it "not" being comfortable. He has a really comfy bed at home. I'd use it before I'd pay more. Unless privacy is an issue.
