Please help! I have been reading all the wonderful information on these boards and have read several times about a pull-time berth. What category stateroom has these? Where are theylocated in the room? I guess I'm trying to ask, "What do they pull-down over?" Thanks in advance!

Honeychild,

On our 4-day on the Wonder last year we were in a catagory 5 with a pull-down (from the ceiling) over the couch by to the verandah doors. The couch also makes up into a bed. Our DDs fought over who got to sleep in it so we just switched off nights;)

I don't know all the catagories that have pull downs but I'm sure that you can find out just by looking at the info at the Disney Cruise line web site. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! My DD and DS will be so glad to see this! They have been begging me to not make them sleep together.
Thanks again.

Another question regarding the pull down bed. We are in a category 5 again this year, and we only have 3 people in our room. My BIL and family had/have 4 people and they needed the extra bed. I guess what I'm trying to get at is: Do all Category 5's have this pull down bed or was my BIL assigned that specific room because of the 4 people and we got lucky enough to get one as well?
Sorry for the long winded question. We don't NEED one, but DD LOVED to play up there with her princesses! princess:

I have sailed in a group of 3 and four in a Cat 4 and both times we had the pull down berth.

Being an only child, I have always loved bunkbeds but have never had them. When it was just me, my Mom and my Nana (who split the big bed into twins), I specifically asked the stewart to pull down the berth bed as that is what I wanted to sleep it. Even though I'm afraid of heights, I love sleeping in this bed (it is especially nice as it leaves the couch free for someone to side and watch t.v.) and as the ship rocked, it felt like I was being rocked to sleep.

Everytime we have a room with a berth bed, I chose that one!!!

Did an Alaska cruise in 2002 on the Amsterdam and DS, then 15 got the pulldown, daughter got the sofa bed. 18 months later we did the 12-27-03 Eastern on the Magic, and DD insisted on the pulldown, which we really didn't have a choice on since DS is now 6'2" and 210 lbs, and the weight limit of the pulldown bed is 200 lbs!!!!

Tink, I Have two rooms booked for 4/4, both cat 5, deck 7...
We're a party of 6, and disney has us listed as 1 adult in each room along with two teens. I've inquired as to whether we have the pull down bunk or not, and was told NO...I think they carefully select your rooms based on the number of people that will be in each one...(Of course, I'm putting those 4 teens in 1 room and the other for me and DH) LOL! ;)
