Why do the resorts with the pull down beds say they sleep 5 adults but it says "child sized pull down bed" Am I missing something? Isn't that 4 adults and one child?

I'm 4'11". Many children are taller than me.

It's about a crib-size mattress, maybe a bit bigger. A short adult, or one who typically sleeps curled up would fit.

Not sure of the description but the single murphy bed is slightly more narrow than a twin and the length was fine. I'm 5'4", slept great. I don't think DH or DSs would have liked it much.

Don't forget that Disney considers a 10 year old an adult in most cases
Actually, the just consider that ten year old as a guest 10+. You hit double digits and you pay more because most of the time you can do more and eat more.

We stayed at CBR, and I slept on the pull down. I'm 6'3 300 pounds. I slept very well too. I gained a couple more inches of bed space by putting a pillow between the bed pulled down and the refrigerator that was at the head. I put the pillow on the bench part (when the bed is folded down there is still some of the bench seat behind it), and put another pillow on top of that. I don't sleep stretched complete out most the night, so the length wasn't much of an issue. When I did stretch out, I just put my feet to the side a little bit to be in front of the stand on the other side.

I know it may not work for everyone, but I found the bed to be just fine for the week we were there. It wasn't the softest, but I'm not that picky of a sleeper. It was just fine for a week.

I’m 5’7” about 140 pounds and I have slept on the pulldown a few times. When we were staying in a 1-BR I picked that over the sleeper sofa because it was easier to put back up and didn’t take as much space. The last time I wasn’t feeling well, so I slept on the Murphy bed and let my wife sleep in the bed to not get her sick. Personally, I think the Murphy beds are more comfortable than the sleeper sofas.

They are, I slept quite comfortably on one at GFV in February. I had to watch out for the top of the frame though and got my head a couple of times. I think the mattress is a real one unlike the foam pad of the sleeper sofas.

I think they are real mattresses. I have slept in the ones at the GFV a couple of times and have liked them.
