Pull down bed & toddler

It is possible to use a bed rail on pull down beds? Or maybe even better, can we pull the mattress off of the pull down bed and place it on the floor?

Trying to figure out where we're going to put our 3 year old next month when we're at Aulani. He's a mover when he's sleeping so I don't want to worry about him falling.

Maybe put a couple of pillows on the floor, next to the bed. The pull-down bed is not as high as a regular bed.

IIRC from the model rooms, Aulani & VGF use the same piece of furniture. Couldn't find the Aulani pic but the VGF one is here:

The bar, shown in the picture, is supposed to be pushed down to the floor, to support the weight of the bed/person.

Thank you for the picture! For some reason I thought the pull down was higher off the floor than that. I think a couple of pillows on the floor will be fine.

yes it is really low to the floor. I understand your concern, but it is highly unlikely he would get hurt -especially if you do blankets or pillows on the floor.
