This is so petty and unimportant in the big picture, but I find the new Puff's tissue boxes to be hideous! I stocked up earlier this year so haven't had to buy any for a while...well Publix had a 10 for $10 sale but I didn't buy any because the boxes are so ugly. What happened? I can't imagine they would complement most decor...they all look so flowery and blah. :sad2:

You can view the "swatches" as they call them here: http://www.puffs.com/puffs-tissues

I guess I'm weird, I buy what's on sale. I never really pay attention to the box.

Whenever I buy tissues it is usually because someone is sick and their nose is raw from blowing it and I buy the ones with the lotion in it to help ease the suffering. I don't think I ever bought a box based on the design.

But with that, I like the designs.

Ha, I don't buy the tissue box with the ugly design either. I'll go for whichever has the nicer box, but I stick with the brand names.

The boxes of Puffs I just bought were packaged as a set of 4 boxes in a back to school theme. The boxes are cartoon monsters. I only bought them because they were the cheapest. They are cute, but don't match any decor in my house!

The swatches you linked to are much nicer for in the home than my cartoon monsters. :rotfl2:

I don't mind them. Yeah, they're not my choice for design but I don't think they're truly ugly.

At Christmas I cover my pop-up Puff's tissues with special "kleenex covers" my Mom stitched with plastic canvas. :)

I keep all our tissues in a cabinet, a drawer, the pantry, or the appliance garage anyway. Couldn't tell you what any of the boxes in our house look like.

I am loyal to Puffs but try to pick the boxes I like better out of whatever selection is available. I don't mind the new designs & really like the blue/white floral one. Usually boxes end up in DD's room and these would be cute in there.

Solved this issue years ago by purchasing tissue box covers for both baths and all bedrooms. :confused3

I have always preferred Puffs tissues over other brands. They really are the softest. I have never liked their boxes. I always wondered why they couldn't make a nice box pattern like the marbleized pattern on the Kleenex boxes. :confused3 I have even used the sides of the Kleenex boxes for crafts. They make lovely cardboard earrings. :thumbsup2

Unfortunately Puffs doesn't fit inside Kleenex boxes as they don't make pop-up tissues, except in the square boxes and I don't buy those as they are more expensive than the rectangular boxes.

I can't really say that I have ever paid attention to the outside of a box of something I am going to use to contain nasal secretions.

That said, I kind of like the blue/teal striped one.

I used to care about box designs, but then I made myself one of those Rubik's cube holders like they have on Big Bang Theory. Problem solved.

We do the same thing at Christmas with ones my grandmother and great-grandmother made :goodvibes

I also agree that I don't really pay too much attention to the box, though i think those are cute, and they look like they'd fit right in at my college apartment.

We bought the monsters for all the teachers that asked for tissues at school. So fun! And kept one for ourselves. :goodvibes

I don't think the Puffs are bad designs. As long as the tissues work, I think it's fine.

My goodness, if you don't like the boxes, just buy a fifty cent bottle of acrylic paint, a fifty cent sponge brush and paint over the box.

Or buy a roll of contact paper and cover the boxes. Although the roll of contact paper may negate your savings the first time, you should have enough contact paper for several purchases in the future for boxes you don't like.

Or hand your children some paper and crayons, have them draw a picture and glue to the sides of the boxes.

Not buying snot wipe because you don't like the box? There are so many easy solutions.

Oh my God, ain't nobody got time for all that!! LOL...I'll just have to find a new brand to buy. This was my favorite design:

If you still have a few boxes, just open up the bottoms and stuff in a new pack. Then tape the bottom shut.

My boxes sit on the counter, with no cover. That is why I only buy kleenex brand. ;)

I don't really care for the new designs either, but value won out. They were on sale for 2/$3 at CVS. I had a $1 off (of four) coupon. So for 5 bucks I got 4 big boxes of tissues, great deal. :)
