Puerto Rico Hotel Recommendations

Hello!

We just booked the 1/17/16 SC cruise and I'm looking for advice on where to/not to stay pre-cruise.

We stayed at La Concha last year, but we flew in late and left REALLY early so it was a lot of money for just a place to crash. I can't decide if I want to extend our hotel stay so we can enjoy the resort, or just fly in the night before and just find a safe/clean place to rest for the night.

We've stayed two different places -- one before the cruise, and one after. Caribe Hilton, by far, was the better of the two.
