I saw this shirt and thought it was funny.

I HAD to comment on this shirt the minute I saw it! I am absolutely getting that for my sister and putting it in her wishing well at her wedding. It is totally her sense of humor!
Day 4 – Part Four
We had a really fun waiter. He yelled at the kids for putting their elbows on the table and not saying “may I”. DD got a little stressed by it, but we told her it was just for fun and not to worry about it. He was in character but not over the top. Really fun. He was great with keeping our drinks filled, etc. He told me if I had another Diet Coke, I would need rubber sheets. LOL. I was thirsty. What can I say ??
There was much moaning from DH about all of the toll booths. We spent about $ 3.75 or so on tolls, but we were ready for it with a bag full of quarters.
We had to MAKE him come spend time with us, he loved it there so much. Make sure you learn how to use the wave phones so you can keep in touch. The wave phones were invaluable to us. Whenever we wanted to check in with him, we just texted or called and he got right back to us. So we felt good about him being on his own.
I tried to talk DS into getting it, but he didn't want it. He was good with his Darth Tater shirt. I thought it was super funny, though.
As you know, I'm not one who gets the love for 50s Prime Time. However, I had a similar experience with my DD and our waiter on our first trip to WDW. He was great, and didn't go crazy with the shtick, but he did give me a hard time about not cleaning my plate, and told me I couldn't have dessert. He told me more than once, and I guess he thought the kids would think it was funny he was saying it to me since that is the sort of thing I should be saying to them. Well, when told me he wouldn't take my dessert order because I hadn't cleaned my plate, my poor, tenderhearted DD (6 at the time) burst into tears. She was so upset that he wouldn't let me have dessert! Well that set my 4y.o. niece off as well. MIL and I told the girls it was just an act, and of course I'd get to have dessert if I wanted one. This guy felt horrible. He's apologizing to us and the girls. Telling them that of course I'd get a dessert, but I don't think either of them trusted him even after I got my dessert. They were giving him eat s*&# looks the rest of the meal. It was HILARIOUS! It is one of my favorite WDW memories ever.
Yes, DD was a little freaked out by it, but this guy wasn't over the top and we really loved him. The table next to us loved him too. We was a really good waiter as well. We are going back here in June
I was going ask why in the world y'all don't have SunPass since you go often enough that it makes sense to have one, but then I realized we do not travel the same route. No toll roads for you. Lucky!! I have to stop for a couple of tolls, and it sure does make life easier having that pass. I really like it for when we are arriving after dark. Makes me feel safer not having to stop.
Yep. We don't pay a toll when we go down there ever. But going from WDW to Port Canaveral, SEVERAL toll stops. It just drove DH nuts. I still don't get why $3.75 is such a big deal to him and he was complaining about having to stop so much. I think he was just anxious to get there and that he was just as excited as the kids.
That's great he felt comfortable enough to go off and do his own thing. I don't know that DD would be as comfortable. It is something she would definitely have to warm up to. However, that big wall of Mario Kart might just make her get comfortable quick!
He was a little too comfortable going off by himself. We were constantly checking in with him, but he was fine. He really enjoyed his freedom.
Your stateroom is lovely, and I love all your magnets! So when does the FISH extender go up? That shot you took from the veranda that was just open ocean is exactly why I don't want to get on a cruise ship. The thought of not having land in sight on either side of a boat in the ocean, completely freaks me out! I know it this makes no sense, but my irrational fear is the reason I am going with an Alaska cruise rather than a short Caribbean cruise for my first cruising experience. I so desperately want to go to Alaska that I am willing to deal with the possibility of not having land within sight. I am probably one of the few people in the world who has no desire to go to the Caribbean. Just holds no appeal to me. I'd rather go to Hawaii or Bermuda.
That is a shame, because you would LOVE Castaway Cay. I think the Caribbean is beautiful. Maybe you need an inside stateroom so you don't have to see the open water. At least in the warm water you won't freeze to death. I really want to do the Alaska one, too. But DH was in sticker shock so I was able to distract him with another Caribbean trip The kids are already asking lots of questions about our next cruise.
Oh, and I love that little round tub/shower combo. Round tub..how awesome. Looking forward to more news from the sea! Ahoy matey!!![]()
So when does the FISH extender go up?
Aaaahhhh, I just can't take it, it's so beautiful! To answer your question before, no I don't have a cruise booked for the near future. On my radar though for sure.![]()
Your stateroom looks like it was in a great location! I can't get over the kids clubs though! They look awesome!!
GOOD LORD the Dream is just gorgeous!!! Wow, what an awesome start to your cruise!
The fish extender looks great! It's cool to see it 'in action' hahah. Those lounges look awesome. It's nice that they have family ones too.![]()
