Public School

I have been Homeschooled all my life.
This year will be my first year at Public school. I'll be going into middle school.

Any tips?

Ohhhh how I miss public school (go to Catholic high school now).

The only tip I can give you is to just be yourself. You'll make lots of friends that way. Good luck!

I agree with DisneyAngel!

I'm sure you'll be fine, but my advice would be to get involved in everything you're interested in! Clubs, sports, newspaper (whichever works for you). That way you'll meet tons of new people that have the same interests as you!

There is a LOT of pressure in Middle School, the people there can be horrible sometimes, but you gotta keep your head high, be proud. If you feel inferior, bullies will feel superior, and that's when they start picking on you. The worst year is 6th grade, it get's a LOT better as you go a long.

You will be fine. Like everyone else says, just be yourself. You are bound to find people that fit your personality, because there are many different groups of people out there. Get active in things that you are interested in, and that will probably be the fastest way to meet people like you. Be friendly, and just have fun! It gets easier as the years go on, everyone has to go through some type of transition. And believe me, you won't be the only new kid at that school!

I agree, too. Try to stay away from trouble makers and you will do great!

ull do great middle school can be hard at times but i think 6th was my easiest year but 7th was def my favorite and if it makes u feel better everyone in my school if there is a new person everyone tries to be friends w/ them so if that school is nething like mine ull have tons of friends by the end of the first week

I agree. Middle school can be hard. It can be depressing at times too, because people can be pretty mean. I'm not trying to uspet you or scare you or anything. I want you to be prepared. But, it can be a lot of fun. I personally didn't enjoy it much, but most people do find a lot that they love about middle school. I totally agree with the advice to get involved in activities. It's a great way to meet people. Also, public school is great. There's a lot to get involved in. I've been in public school my entire life, and am really glad about it. My friends in private school haven't had nearly as many opportunities as I have.
And I dont' agree with the advice to become good friends with the bullies. Stay off their bad side, and be nice/friendly to them, but don't necessarily hang around with them a lot, or you'll be seen as one of them.
And don't forget to do the homework
