I know they'll show Disney programming... ABC, ESPN. Will they also air sporting events on NBC, CBS or Fox? Thanks in advance.

We've watched just about everything in the pubs on the ships. They typically aren't limited to just the Disney owned brands. They normally show the super bowl on funnel vision each year.

Thanks DCLCruiseFan09....One time I wanted to watch a Notre Dame game on Fox and they said they won't show Fox. Was wondering if they did the other networks.

The Network isn't really the issue. But when it comes to College sports, they take the network East Coast feed, and if the game you are interested in isn't the one being shown on the east coast of the U.S. they can't get it.

I've been on many Super Bowl cruises and they may get feeds from international brands. Many times the games are broadcast in Spanish and are shown in English in closed caption. That unfortunately cuts out the interesting commercials. But you will be able to see them on the internet once you get home. Which games will be shown will depend on what they can get on the satellite feed.

We were on last year's Super Bowl cruise and I am pretty sure all the commercials were in Spanish. I don't remember about captions for the game.

Pub 687 was so empty on our Sept Dream cruise.....literally only 2 other couples in there before our 8:15 dinner.

Not exactly. My husband wanted to watch the Auburn game on 10/16. We went to the pub when we boarded to watch. They were only showing one game on all the screens and it wasn’t auburn. Auburn is most certainly on the east coast, as it is part of the SEC and was being shown on CBS that day, I believe.

Only showing one game is different than when I cruised. But I know when I cruised there were some upset that one game.....the one designated for west coast stations....was not available.

Did you ask if they would change the channel? My experience has been that they will try and show anything. It may not be available due to licensing or satellite issues, but I have not been told they will not change the channel to a non-Disney owned.

We did. We were the only people in there and told the CM we were trying to watch the Auburn game. He said he couldn’t change the channel. It was fine. We just went to satellite falls and enjoyed the afternoon!

My understanding is that the only game they'll pay the exhibition rights for that they don't already have is the Super Bowl. Otherwise, they're limited to what they already have. But, "non-Disney" is different than what you might think it is: the Disney networks of course include ABC and ESPN. But, there are some games that might be on, say, Fox in the US, but are on ESPN Caribbean in that part of the world. In that case, they can show it on the ship.

I'm sorry to hear that. They usually show lots of different games. Glad you had a good day anyway!
