PTR turned TR for the most magical and expensive vacation I've ever been on!

w00t! I'm getting so excited. I talked to my bf a little bit more about it today and what we have planned. I told him all you guys love my plan and that just tortures him even more!

I will keep researching on the steakhouse. I wish I could remember where I read it, but I'll keep looking

Also a question - I just got an email offering me a photopass cd. It's 100 dollars which is 20% off. You can get a regular photopass card in the park and get all the pix you want taken as usual. Then when you get home, you put the code into the system and you have 100% rights to all the pictures that were taken AND they are high resolution. I'm seriously considering this because I know you can EASILY eat up 100 dollars in pictures ordering from photopass. This would let us take as many pics as we want and get them developed at the friendly wal mart low price! We're going to have Ryan's new camera along, but honesty the photopass pictures almost always come out better. What do you guys think?

edit: I should add that they have a money back guarantee. If you order it, then go down and do the photopass thing, come home and decide you don't want to order the CD after reviewing your pictures, you get a full refund. It sounds to me like it's a win-win situation

ok the site I was looking on was miceage.com - LUCKILY I was wrong. It is not le cellier that is closing, it's
"The Concourse Steakhouse will close, and a counter service restaurant will replace it"

Sorry about that!

phew! i'm glad! le cellier's not my favorite, but i do like it and was looking forward to going back someday. i know it's a popular place and some people would stage protests if they were gonna close it!

about the photopass.....i say do it. i said i wasn't going to buy the CD last year and i did anyway. so i think no matter what i'm gonna buy the CD anyway. just remember to get your money's worth and take LOTS of photopass pics!

w00t I got a call from the Disney Photographer office today about having the photographer take our pics as I'm giving him the ring! hurray!

Yay for 10 days until your trip! You have some amazing ideas on how to make things special for the two of you. Counting on seeing a photo from that special moment when you get back!!

I'm going to go over the money situation again today to see where we're sitting. Last night they had an updated special on the travel channel about Christmas at Disney all over the world. They had a lot on MK at WDW and it was awesome! They showed the castle being lit and main street USA decorations. Ryan was watching with me and I just kept crying when they'd show stuff. He said I'm hopeless and I'm starting to think I am too! How the hell am I gonna keep it together when I'm actually there trying to give him a ring?? I'm gonna be crying the whole time!

OMG! Your trip sounds like a great time. The ring thing and the photographer will be GREAT! If my bf did something like that I would be :cloud9: . Last night first time I got flowers since our first valentines day and he walks in the house and is on the phone, just kinda shoves them at me. AHHH melt my heart... Oh well I guess he could have not bought anything! LOL!

I think I am hooked for your trip report I cant wait to hear how your sweetie responds to his ring. I think I might cry.

I say get the photopass...They are going to be able to get better photos of the two of you together than some stranger you hand your camera to. I have always noticed that when I hand my camera to someone they take the crapiest photos. :sad2:

aaww thanks! I think what got me during that special last night is that as it highlighted things like the Osbourne lights, the castle, the Candlelight processional, and all the other cool things, Ryan was really excited. I've told him all about it, but to see it on TV made him really excited and that means the world to me. His excitement is finally reaching the same level as mine.

Now I know I've promised pictures...I'm still working on it. I always post when I'm at work and I don't have the majority of my pictures here. I'll see what I can find.

yep! That's the one! Hopefully they'll light up the castle like that every year.

Btw pics added on the first post!

Just checked out your pics you added...you two are cute! Hopefully this trip will be all you want it to be. :)

Subscribing! Can't wait to hear all about your trip...I won't be in WDW for Christmas until next year. I'm jealous!! ;)

yay......pictures!!! you guys are adorable....and so young! you make me feel so old. i hope you take that as a compliment because that's how i meant it. ;)

Ditto KatGarcia's comment -- you two are SO cute. Hope you have a GREAT trip! :goodvibes

aaww thanks everyone! I had a 15 hour dj show on Thursday so I haven't been on for a while.

I went out today and bought a rubics cube to work on while we're standing in line. I wanted a bop it, but damnit they stopped making them! bummer!

I've got everything confirmed with the photographer. I also ordered the photopass cd as suggested. I went over the money we have and we might have to cut out the California Grill. It's the only one I can really see cutting out and not being terribly disappointed. I think it's a 24 or 48 hr cancellation policy, so we'll wait till we're there and see how we're doing on money before we make that decision. I also went out and spent 45 bux on liquor. I'll make my own drinks in the room and THEN go to PI hehe. I'm not paying their prices for alcohol when I can bring my own

The final planning has begun. I'm working on a trip binder of sorts that will have all the important info in it.

a tip: since you're staying at pop century, you'll have frozen cokes in the food court. buy one of those refillable mugs and keep some rum in your room, then just spike your frozen cokes with rum when you leave for the parks and when you're done, rinse it out in the bathroom and throw it in your backpack. then on your way back to your room swing by the food court and fill up your mug with more frozen coke and add the rum when you get back to your room. ray and i did this the entire time last time and it was a nice little touch!

We're staying at Pop in April...nice tip about the rum and frozen cokes, we'll have to try it!!

We are so brining our own alcohol too! We are taking a group trip to the store for some so we get what everyone likes and we are bringing "the spirits" with us!

hehe frozen coke indeed, I'll have to take advantage of that! I already have refillable mugs from my last few trips. It's the best 15 dollars you could ever spend! I think technically we aren't supposed to use them but I also know no one is watching the fountains.

I bought all the necessary liquor to make long beaches(a long island with OJ and cranberry juice) that should make our PI experience all that more enjoyable! It's gettin close!

Forecast 80 degrees on the big ring popping day. Isolated T-storms, but we all know that just means it'll rain for 20 minutes and clear up.
