PTR Oct 9-17, 08 - 2 Worlds Collide!

This is my first PTR! WOOT! WOOT! MY trip will be from 10/9-10/17 and will actually be a 2-pronged trip. The first prong (10/9 - 10/12) will be as follows:

The cast - My niece/best friend (DN35) from Austin, TX and me (from Chicagoland, IL). This is her first time to WDW in 15 years! I have already started to accumualte a goodie/giftie bag for her. So far I have a plush Bambi (her fav character), a Mickey/Minnie teeshirt, an autograph book, and some Disney Dollars. I'm sure she will tear up! Can't wait to surprise her!
The setting - AKV studio
The plans - 10/9 Settle into resort. Dinner at Jiko and maybe some DtD afterwards

10/10 - Epcot F&W (emphasis on the W) Festival. Lunch at Le Cellier. Then off to MNSSHP dressed as Elphaba and Glinda from "Wicked". Can't wait!

10/11 - AK in the AM and early PM. Can't wait to get DN35 on Expedition Everest!!! More Epcot F&W in the evening.

10/12 - Move rooms to a 2 bedroom villa at AKV (you'll see why in a minute), 1900 Park Fare for Supercalifragilistic bfast with Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger. Yes, 2 adults at a character meal. That should be interesting! Then DN35 wants to either go back to AK or do more at Epcot. We'll play it by ear.

10/12 My DH, DS8, and DD5 arrive from Chicago at approx 4pm (hence the need for the 2 bdrm villa!). DInner at Boma with all 5 of us. MK in the evening so my DN35 can experience WDW through my kids eyes which I know she will totally love to see! My DD5 is her godchild ,and they both LOVE It's a Small World. Both are excited to ride it together. AWWWW!!!

10/13 Early ADR at Tusker House character bfast. Afterwards DN35 will be going back to AKV resort to pack and head back to TX((( DH, DS8, DD5 and I just getting started! Ak all day. Naptime. Dinner at Chef Mickey's. MNSSHP at night! I'm so double-dipping!

10/14 Epcot all day. Le Cellier for dinner.

10/15 DHS. 50's Prime Time for lunch. Jiko for dinner. Maybe back to DHS or to AK for evening EMHs.

10/16 1900 Park Fare character bfast AGAIN! It's one of my favorites, and my kids love Alice and Mary Poppins. Then probably to MK, altho I am so disappointed. We ALWAYS watch Wishes on our last night, but bc of MNSSHP that night, NO WISHES!!!! Not sure what we'll do to compensate. WHo knows! Maybe we'll have to go to MNSSHP again! That would be 3 times in one trip for me?

10/17 Pack and head home. Depression...........

If anyone can offer a suitable replacement for Wishes on our last night, please chime in!

I LOVE your costume ideas! That was by far one of the best shows that I have seen. We are also eating at Le Cellier and Boma for the first time and I'm so excited Can't wait for more!

Wasn't Wicked the best!? I'm going again in June with my niece, and I'm sure she'll love it too. She's blonde and I'm a very dark brunette, so we thought the Elphie/Glinda idea would be so cute. I'm a little woried abt the heat and the green makeup tho!

We love Le Cellier. Don't miss the pretzel bread and cheese soup when you're there! It's my first time at Jiko and Boma, too. I'm very excited abt even being at AKV. We've never even seen it from the outside, much less stayed there.
