HELLO EVERYONE!! :earsboy:

After years of reading different trip reports on here, I’m so excited to be writing my first ever one!

I will be going for a quick long weekend trip June 21st to 24th. I so wish I could’ve done a longer trip but I work in professional baseball so days off are very limited :sad1:
However, any days in Disney are better than none so I am SOO excited!

This is the first time I’ve ever gone to Disney without my family, so it’s definitely very bittersweet. However, I’m so excited to help show some Disney Magic to my best friends! :cool1:

Now for introductions! My name is Brianna and I’m 21. I’ve been coming to Disney since I was 2years old and have been here over 20 times. I also did a summer DCP and got to live in Orlando and be a part of creating the Disney Magic!

I will be joined by my two friends Ashley and Kate! Ashley has only been to Disney once for a school trip, and this will be Kate’s first visit! I will be the Disney expert of this trip and have been put in charge of planning. I’m very excited but very nervous for this new responsibility, so fingers crossed that all goes well!

Stay tuned for a breakdown of our quick little girls trip! :mickeyjum

Things started to feel very real whenever I logged onto the Disney World app this morning and saw that we had 8 days until our trip

As of this morning, we only really had the basic details (flights, hotels, etc.) figured out which REALLY made the planner in me anxious. I didn’t want to overwhelm my friends for their first trips, but I’m also from a family who goes into Disney with a plan!

Trying to find a flight was ROUGH. My family usually drives to Disney, so this isn’t usually a concern for me. We ended up choosing Spirit because it made the most sense financially as well as timing wise. We’re able to get basically a full day in Florida because of how early we get in. We depart from Pennsylvania at 6:50 and should be at MCO around 9:15.

I ended up booking Mears Connect for our transportation to our hotel. I know that Uber/Lyft is an option but having everything paid for and dealt with beforehand was a big stress relief for me. Whenever I booked our vacation, I hadn’t realized that the Magical Express was no longer a thing  As I mentioned, we usually drive so this will only be my second time flying to Disney. Regardless, the price still wasn’t bad but nothing beats free!

We will be staying at All-Star Movies this trip! I have stayed at so many different Disney Hotels, but you can’t beat the prices for ASM especially for a short trip! I did get a discount with my Disney Visa, Movies had the best discount which is why we ended up here! I would’ve loved to do Pop Century or Art of Animation so we had the skyliner option, but just couldn’t swing it this trip.

As for dining, I didn’t want to book to many ADRs and miss out on a ton of time in the parks. I knew that I definitely wanted to do at least one sit down and my friends said they had complete trust in me to pick :woohoo:

I narrowed it down to two different options: Ohana’s and the Boathouse.

Ohana’s is definitely my favorite dining on property hands down. The food is so amazing and you can’t beat the atmosphere. I also thought it’d be cool to show my friends around the Polynesian so they can see how different Disney hotels look. Not to mention, amazing photo opportunities!

I’ve never eaten at Boathouse, but I have seen such good reviews on here and on Tik Tok. I was excited to try a new dining place, especially because with how much I’ve gone to Disney it’s pretty rare.

Once our ADR window opened up, I ended up snagging two Ohana’s reservations and one at the boathouse. I wasn’t sure if we would want to do Ohana’s Friday or Saturday so I did a reservation for both days until I spoke to my friends. I also did the Boathouse on Friday because it’s our Disney Springs Day.

After we all talked things over closer to the trip, we decided on Ohana’s on Friday! Our reservation is at 6:55 pm, so I’m hoping we’ll be able to catch some Magic Kingdom fireworks afterwards to help them experience even more Disney magic :cheer2:

We’ll start off our trip on Friday hanging around the pool relaxing and at Disney Springs. Then we’ll head back to the hotel and freshen up for Ohana’s.
There’s also a chance we could end up hitting the Boardwalk Friday night to help kick off vacation but we’re just going to go with the flow!

Saturday is going to be our beach day but the weather is looking a little rough right now. We don’t have anything booked for the beach and decided we’ll just call an uber the day of. We plan on just playing it by ear but if the weather doesn’t cooperate we’ll most likely end up at Magic Kingdom.

Sunday is our Epcot day! We are so excited to drink around the world and eat all the different foods around the world. We don’t have any dining booked but we may look into day of reservations/wait lists depending on how we feel. We plan on being there from early entry to park close so fingers crossed we get some good weather.

Monday will be our day to recharge and relax before heading home. We have to be in the lobby for the Mears Connect by 11:15, so I figured I can give the girls a chance to sleep in and relax, especially since I’m gonna have them up and running all weekend :cool1:

Now that we’re about a week out, I’m starting to get together my packing lists and what else I need to buy at the store! I’ve made an agenda for the trip just so that I can try to relax and not have to worry about things when I’m down there. I’m not sure if we’ll even follow it or if I’ll share it, but it’s helping me feel less stressed about the trip.

This weekend I’m going to my parents house to get any of my extra things that I may need that are there.

Luckily, we have next Wednesday off of work. I plan on using all day Wednesday to pack and organize so that I can come home from work on Thursday, relax, and get to sleep at a decent time for my early morning.

I’ll be updating on Thursday (Day 0) on all of the pre-trip madness!

See ya real soon :mickeyjum

Following along . Looking forward to reading more .

Day 0

Today was the longest day of work EVER! Trying to focus while knowing that tomorrow I’ll be in my happy place was soo difficult, but I made it through and at 5 pm officially put my Teams status as Out of Office :thumbsup2

We usually do dinner with my grandmother once a week so I headed there after work and then headed home!

As I previously mentioned, I was off of work on Wednesday due to Juneteenth so I’m basically all set when it comes to packing! My friend Ashley and I decided we would share a suitcase to cut down on price and since it was a short trip, it shouldn’t be too hard. Let’s just say, from now on I’ll be purchasing my own.
I am a very anxious person and always have to pack for those “just in case” moments. Well, this was not easy at all for me to accomplish when sharing half a suitcase!:scared1: Luckily, I had ordered some packing cubes off of Amazon and I was able to get everything to fit in my side.

Ashley just came over a bit ago to pick up the suitcase since her sister is driving us to the airport. Thank GOSH all of our stuff fits and we were able to zipper shut the suitcase :cheer2:

For the rest of the night, I plan on getting in the shower soon, packing my last minute items for my personal, and trying to hit the hay decently early.

We’re planning on leaving at 3:30 am to get to the airport, go through security, and all of that for our 6:05 am boarding time. My goal is to be in bed by 9 pm tonight, but we all know those Disney jitters make it so rough!

My friends have both said there will probably be a nap at some point tomorrow for them.. however, I know myself and know that me although I LOVE a good nap Disney World is the one place I refuse to nap!

I’m gonna go ahead and get these final things off of my to-do list and try to get some sleep before heading to the happiest place on earth! Talk to you all real soon
:earsboy:

I hope you had the best time! Hope you come back to update how it went!
