Hello DISers! This is my first post on this forum. I have been lurking a little while as I have the app on my phone. I have posted my vacation info on another Disney fan site but with 19 days to go, I want to share with you guys as well!! My name is Cassie and I live in the FL panhandle. I grew up in Orlando but didn't have the $$ to go to Disney especially often but I did go several times when I was little. In the gifted program in Orlando, we had many a school trip to Epcot ("why couldn't it have been the Magic Kingdom?" my 8 yr old self wanted to know). The last time I went to Disney was 15 yrs ago when I was 13. I have never even seen the Winnie the Pooh ride!! I started planning this trip a year ago when I went back to working full time after 3 years of being part time and spending the extra hours with my little ones.
What little ones? you ask... Well I have a 6 yr old daughter and a 4 year old son. I am SOOOO excited to see Disney through their eyes. I also have a very handsome prince I am married to, have been that way for 7 years, together for almost 15! Yes, we started dating when I was 14!!
This will be my family's first vacation and I couldn't be happier that we will be celebrating that milestone at Disney. I have researched all things Disney like a madwoman and feel like I have a decent knowledge of the parks, attractions, and dining options. We are leaving early Sunday morning 5/19 and coming back late Friday 5/24, staying at the Art of Animation in a Little Mermaid room.
I will post pics after my required 10 message count. :goodvibes

Here are our plans and meals for the trip:
Sunday 5/19: Arrival/Downtown Disney Day
Arrive around 2 pm, chill and check out our awesome resort!!
Head out to DTD in the evening, ADR at Rainforest Cafe at 7:30
Dessert at Ghirardelli (mmmmmm)
Monday 5/20: Magic Kingdom
9:05 ADR at Cinderella's Royal Table, ride some rides before things get busy
Leave the park around noon to go back to resort for lunch and rest
Back to MK to ride more rides and meet characters, dinner at Columbia Harbor House
End with Wishes fireworks
Tuesday 5/21: Hollywood Studios
Walk over to Pop Century for breakfast early, head to HS and enroll in Jedi Training Academy, hightail it to Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror, Rockin Roller Coaster. Lunch at Studio Catering Co and a snack (cupcake!!) at Starring Rolls. Head out of the park after characterpalooza to chill back at room until 7:40 ADR at Chef Mickey's
Wednesday 5/22: Epcot
Breakfast at Capt Cooks at the Poly (Tonga Toast!), wander around Future World and hit Soarin, Test Track, Mission Space. Lunch at Sunshine Seasons. Tour (and drink) around World Showcase. Dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse at 7:30.
Thursday 5/23: Back to MK!!
Breakfast in room as there are EMH and we aim to be there for rope drop! Straight to new fantasyland for Enchanted Tales with Belle. Continue to admire new fantasyland until we line up for lunch somewhere around 10:30 at Be our Guest. Must get a nutella fruit waffle at Sleepy Hollow... Hit the rides we didn't do on Monday until our 7:50 ADR at Ohana after which we will catch Wishes from the beach.
Friday 5/24: Animal Kingdom/Departure day (so soon?)
Breakfast at Kusafiri Bakery. Ride Everest and Kilimanjaro Safari. Lunch at Flametree BBQ for adults, Pizzafari for kiddos. Grab a couple adult beverages from Dawa Bar. Back to Kusafiri for cupcakes. Catch the parade before we head out.

Y'all are going to have such a blast! And seeing the parks through your kids' eyes will truly be magical. You will be getting there the day we leave (wah!). Our trip is May 11-19. You've got some great plans. We are also doing O'hana and The Yachtsman (our two faves)--don't eat much on those days because you will leave STUFFED!

I hope you and your family have a very magical trip and I'll look forward to seeing some of your pics!

Thanks so much for posting guys! I have been crazy at work and finally getting to chill on the computer tonight.
I have also been going around trying to post so I can show you guys some pics, lol.
So here we go!!

That is me and my beautiful babies on one of the 2 beach days we've managed to have this year.
Weather has been kinda crappy on my days off but it's nice we live close to paradise!!

We'll be there the same time. I'll be staying at Pop though. Maybe we'll see each other around the resorts

I wanted to share my countdown board with everyone here. I got the idea from a woman on another Disney fansite. Covered a poster board with Disney pics and post 100 sticky notes on top. Kids get to remove a sticky each day. They are not in order so it's more of a challenge for my 6 yr old to find the correct one. As the stickies are pulled off, the pics are revealed. I put some of our resort, fireworks, castle, Spaceship Earth, Dumbo, teacups, Mickey, princesses, etc. This is what it looked like at the beginning:

Next up, some of the Tshirts I got for the kids to wear:

Mickey costume shirt for DS:

Perry!

this shirt is perfect for DS, he is so short for being 4 1/2. I want a pic of him in this shirt standing by a measuring stick for a ride he is WAY too small for. It will be hilarious!
