Hello and Welcome All (well I should say Welcome to myself since this is my First Thread!) Anyways, my name is Nicki and I have decided to write a PTR. I have been reading all of these threads for months now and have decided it is time for me to post one of my own. So, since my trip is not until the 21st, my only option in posting is to write my own PTR. :3dglasses

Let me first begin by introducing the cast for this PTR and soon to be trip.

That's me, Nicki (and yes, that is a fish on my hat.) I am a crazy, silly 20 year old kid at heart. I am super athletic and a senior at the University of South Florida. After graduation, I plan on attending Dental School. I am also a summer camp counselor for middle schoolers ( ). I am the brains behind the entire WDW trip. I have loved WDW ever since my first visit when I was 2 years old. You can bet I was extremley excited when our trip planned for November, got moved (to my surprise) to my birthday weekend!!! Yay!!

That's Taylor, the brother. This is the first trip to WDW that he is actually looking forward to. I attribute that to my constant talking/planning of the trip. He is 14 and non-athletic. He's much more of an eater than I am and is most looking forward to the No Way Jose.

That's Kim, the Mommy. She is not nearly as into WDW as I am, and gets semi-annoyed with my constant discussions of it. But she is a good sport and is the one who decided to move the trip up without my .:cough:. knowing of it. She tries to surprise me all the time, but it just never works out. My response always is, "I'm to smart to fall for surprises." This usually follows with no response and my mom walking away.

Okay, well that is all I am going to have time for tonight. It's almost 9pm and after 8 hours in the Florida heat today, I am ready to hit the bed. Tomorrow I will discuss the eating plans for my Birthday trip to WDW.

Hoping that at least some people will enjoy this...

Eek, I am scared. :cheer2: (random, but it was just looking at me).

So looking forward to your posts! :goodvibes Except we leave on the 20th, so here's hoping we'll both have a magical time!!

You and your family look like lovely people!! As the mom of a 22 year old DD, I hope your mom manages to surprise you at some point! ;)

Have a fabulous trip!!

So as I have read many of these reviews, a lot of you go with the dining plan and eat at sit down locations. Well, since this trip was a surprise, we aren't doing the dining plan and aren't going to do any sit down locations. I guess you could say this will be Disney Dining on a Budget! :yay:

Okay, so we will be leaving Naples on Thursday at some time and be arriving in WDW for dinner. Plan for dinner is just to eat at the hotel. As far as I know, due to my great snooping skills, we are staying at POFQ. So that would have us eating at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory.

Next will be Friday, which is my birthday! I have already ordered a custom Disney t-shirt that proudly announces that "I am the Birthday Girl." I have wanted to go to WDW my ENTIRE life for my bday and am so stoked to finally be going!!! So breakfast will be at the hotel, Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, then we will head to Epcot. We aren't ones for a morning snack, so our next meal will be lunch. Lunch will be at Electric Umbrella. I realize that this hasn't gotten the best ratings, but we have eaten here before and compare it to your normal fast food joint. Taylor is not a big fan of Sunshine Seasons, so it leaves us with Electric Umbrella on the Future World side to eat in. Our afternoon snack will just depend on where we are. Probably just stop at one of the carts. We like to leave the park around 3ish, go to hotel, rest, shower, change clothes and return back to the park for dinner/night/fireworks. Dinner for the night will be at Cantina de San Angel. Normally, no matter what, I have Taco Bell for dinner on my birthday. Yes, I know this sounds silly, but it is just a tradition. I don't even know how the tradition started, but it some how did. So, since I won't be leaving WDW to have Taco Bell, we will have Cantina de San Angel. hehehe. :wizard:

Saturday will be Magic Kingdom. Breakfast will be at Sassagoula then we will head to the park. Lunch will be at Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe. I think this is the best counter service location in all of WDW. I love that you can get such a wide variety of things. Snack will be at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. Rather than coming back to the park, since there will be no Spectromagic, we will go to Downtown Disney at night. Plan for dinner is Earl of a Sandwich. I have never eaten here, yet have read so many great reviews of it. My last few meals in Downtown Disney have been quite disappointing, so I am hoping Earl of a Sandwich will make up for it.

Sunday we will probably head to Epcot again. We may do MGM, excuse me, Hollywood Studios, but I'm just not sure yet. There are only a few things I really like in MGM...I'm an Epcot girl. So we will just play that by ear. Breakfast will of course be at Sassagoula and then we will head out. Plan for lunch is Beaches and Cream. Taylor is beyond excited about trying the No Way Jose, and I am pretty excited too. Last time we tried to go to Beaches and Cream, it was a Saturday night and we waited for two hours before finally giving up. So, we are thinking doing a Sunday lunch may give us better luck. After lunch, we will be heading back to Naples. Sad yet surely weighing a little bit more.

I was worried I wouldnt get through that and would have to continue tomorrow, but it seems as if I have. Not sure what I will pre-trip about tomorrow. Until then, it is time for me to head off and rest up for another fun filled day of Summer Camp. :cool2:

Have a WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY!!!

I can't wait to read your food report (and probably salivate over it!). Shhh... don't tell anyone but DH and I like Electric Umbrella! Twice ... we ate there and no where else in Epcot :scared1: -- we did eat some other nice places though in the other Parks and at our resort!

Have LOADS OF FUN!!!!!!!!!! :yay:
