PTR-Cheating on Mickey w/Harry!...OMG! Only a month to go!

I love that you have two full days of F&W grazing. We love eating around the world. Glad you finalized your WWoHP plans. As soon as the kids are bigger, I want to go there.

We need a lot of time if we're going to get through all the kiosks. Last time we were there a week and had ADRs every day. We barely made it through everything.

Your plans look great! :thumbsup2 How do you know when the F&W extra events will be?

I'm basing it on the previous two years festivals. The French lunches were Fridays and Sundays. The Grand Mariner tasting has always been offered on Saturdays. It started two years ago. The PFTS is always on Saturday. There are other events like the special dinners that we will have to wait for until they are announced.

Hi,
I don't post very often but I'm enjoying your PTR! I was lucky enought to see a bit of the F&W festival when I was in Orlando for a conference. I could easily spend three days making my way around the World.

Your plan looks great. I can't imagine cheating on the mouse but I'm looking forward to your review of "The Other Park".

The only change I'd make is change from SciFi Diner to Mama Melrose. ::yes::

Thanks for sharing,
TK

The only problem is that Fran really doesn't like Italian food. But she loves burgers, milkshakes and onion rings. I like the idea of watching the cheesy old movies.

Love your plans!

I noticed on the last few days, all you have is dinner planned. Are you planning on just hanging out at VWL or you going to try to make it to AK or MK at all?

We just haven't made any park plans. Part will depend on what we get done on the trip tomorrow. I'm sure we'll go to MK. We'll want to see the new Fantasyland, maybe even have lunch at one of the new restaurants.

Your plans look great, sounds like delicious dining plans!

Thanks! :goodvibes:

Thanks, we were going to be flying tomorrow on my birthday. We'll see if anyone remembers. I was going to put on my Disneyland "Happy Birthday" button when we got off the plane tomorrow, but I guess I'll just save it for another time.

I hope your day is as awesome as it can be. Maybe, you can take a day trip to Disneyland, since you are missing WDW. Then, your Disneyland Happy birthday pin will come in really good use.

I thought I'd posted here already after you posted about your ADRs and food plans.

So instead I'll wish you Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday
Heppy Birthday
Hippy Birthday
Hoppy Birthday
Huppy Birthday

...and don't forget to let them all eat cake!

Sounds like the Sci Fi drive in is perfect for you then. I made the mistake of not having a shake and a burger there. I did enjoy the movies :goodvibes

Happy Birthday!!!!! Hope it is a good one.

:cake: Happy birthday! :cake:

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! With all the doom and gloom of canceling the other trip I forgot to thank you all!

I just made the reservation yesterday we got 1:40PM which is fine for lunch. This way if the Bistro is closed and we can't do a French Regional Lunch, I'll have something to do to avoid Epcot on Sunday afternoon.

I'm bumping so we can plan our October meet here. :goodvibes I'm far too scattered. :p

Good! Enjoy your weekend and Chloe's big day, there is plenty of time left for us to plan a meet!

:goodvibes Thank you. I'm excited for Chloe. Disney planning is therapuetic for me.

So for those of you who know me well, you'll know that the other thing that I am as passionate about on par with Disney and food is band.

A little background: In 1982 the first Gay Games were held in San Francisco, not only were the athletes involved but so were the relatively few gay musical organizations. While I was not involved in this event, members of our band were. Every four years since then there have been Gay Games in cities all over the world. Fran has participated in several and both of us were in GGVI in Chicago in 2006.

Well this is the 30th anniversary of the original games and they will be holding a celebration in West Hollywood. The problem? It is October 20-21 and we're on a retun flight on the 20th. Well not anymore. I spent the morning redoing our almost entire itinerary, and moving things up two days so that we are back on the 18th instead. This gives us a day of rest and the possibility of maybe performing Saturday night in addition to at the awards brunch on Sunday.

I was able to keep much of our itinerary intact. So here is the new revised itinerary:

Monday October 8, 2012
Fly LAX to MCO, pick up rental car, check into Loew's Royal Pacific Hotel, dinner at Jake's American Bar.

Tuesday October 9, 2012
Visit IOA & WWoHP early, relax in room, dinner at Emeril's Tchoup Choup.

Wednesday October 10, 2012
WWoHP early before checkout, move to VWL, grocery shopping, late dinner at 'Ohana.

Thursday October 11, 2012
Not a clue! Probably MK. Need to think about a dinner reservation.

Friday October 12, 2012
Check out of VWL and into BCV. At some point we will have retuned the rental car. Lunch will be at F&W, either the kiosks or a regional lunch, dinner will likely be at the Swan & Dolphin Fest.

Saturday October 13, 2012
There is talk of a Jamborini meet on this day. I'm hoping thay they will still have the Grand Mariner tasting and then either PFTS or back to the Swolphin.

Sunday October 14, 2012
I've got a lunch reservation at the Sci-Fi Dine in Theater, but no dinner plans.

Monday October 15, 2012
This day I plan on dining leisurely from the kiosks around Epcot. Rentayenta will have arrived in WDW over the weekend, so hopefully she and her family will join us.

Tuesday October 16, 2012
Same plan as Monday

Wednesday October 17, 2012
If all goes well and my waitlist comes through it will be another day of F&W kiosks. Otherwise we'll be moving back to the VWL to conclude the trip.

Thursday October 18, 2012
This will be our day to return home. DME will pick us up between 9-10AM and we'll be on our way back home.

So there you have it a trip rearranged all before noon today.

Wow! I'm glad you were able to work it all out. I hope your waitlist comes through so you don't have to move again.

WOW! Quick work! And well done on the rearrangements. Sounds like the band games will be a ton of fun too.

Wait! When is your DCL trip?! Are you telling me you're going to be vacationing within weeks of each other!?

Me too! When I originally planned the trip VWL was supposed to be first on the list, but then I found out about the GM tasting and PFTS and figured I needed to be at BCV on the weekend. So this works out OK.

I was surprised to see the two nights at VWL were open! That meant I didn't have to completely scrap my plans. Now I just cross my fingers on the waitlist. I was lucky the same non-stop flights were still abm available too!

Wait! When is your DCL trip?! Are you telling me you're going to be vacationing within weeks of each other!?

Well, yeah, but it is over a month apart! One is mid October and the other us late November. :rotfl: I've got to start that PTR!

Good Job!!!! I am happy for you, and hope the waitlist comes through..

Me too that will be the only kicker, but I can look on the bright side it will be that much easier to be packed and ready to go if we have to move our last night! :rotfl2:
