PTR 10/15-10/16 First Ever Girls Trip!

I can't contain my excitement! This is my first TR and I still feel like a Dis newbie so bear with me, offer advice, and share in my excitement!

I have never gone anywhere for myself without my DH and DD. I just always get that guilty feeling when I spend money on myself or do things just for me. So this will be interesting.

At work I am well known as the "Disney freak."..in a loving way. I was in the breakroom and overheard some coworkers thinking about a girl's trip to DL. I made loud cough noise(intentionally as a way to invite myself) and jokingly said "ummm...I wanna go! The girls hadn't considered asking the "Disney freak"(me) because I am married and have a kid. I then said..."its Disneyland, of course I want to go!" I wasn't sure if they were totally serious and committed to going but I was Next step: pick the dates and ask the boss for time off for all of us at the same time, oh....and ask my DH.

Step 1: Pick the days and ask the boss.

The girls and I brainstormed on the best strategy for asking for time off of work. We came to the conclusion that a Tuesday through Thursday trip was most likely to get a yes from the boss. Once we realized that, it was easy to see that going to a halloween party in the park on a Tuesday night was our best idea since our drive is about 6 1/2 hours. Then on Wed. we can hit the park all day! After a few days of deciding who was gonna ask the boss...I got nominated since it would probably be hard for the boss to say no to the disney freak of the office. Of course she said yes! Step 2.....ask the DH.
