So we got our PS for rose and crown at 7:30 to see illuminations outside. Three years ago the time was very very important. This year things were so ridged. I checked in and then meandered over to my family waiting on a bench, when i started to look around..............

come closer, we dont want everyone to know................

rose and crowns tables are only the raised ones right next to the building. right beside it there are a bunch of tables in various sizes that are behind a wall from the street and gotten to through the arbor at rose and crowns podium.

(checking around for evesdroppers) come closer.......

These tables are not part of the rose and crown! They are public seating! You can grab a table, send someone to whichever food place you want to grab dinner and bring it back! And you can stay for Illuminations!

in a quiet whisper...

Thanks for the tip....we were going to try for Rose & Crown PS for September trip...I Think your tip(secret) will be better, consider DS would probably not be too thrilled with R&C.

Thanks bunches!!!

We managed to get a table there during our last visit. I sat at the table while my kids hit the world showcase to buy dinner for us. We had a great view of Illuminations. We were lucky to have had terrace seating for dinner at R & C last summer and felt like we were right in the middle of the fireworks. The tables "ouside" are a great alternative.

I must be losing my mind....When I read that post, I was actually getting closer to my monitor, and reading it to myself in a whisper.

You just need to be careful - they are sometimes roped off for corporate events. We got lucky at one of my conferences and got to have a dessert buffet, champagne, cordials and coffee in this very spot.

FYI - we also got to have a private dinner in the coral reef. They have a whole back room area that looks at the aquarium with private seating for about 50. We drove around the back of World Showcase and FW to get there. I was actually really disillusioned by this. The whole back of FW and WS looks like warehouses. It kind of spoiled some of the *magic* for me!

LOL, glad to know I wasn't the only one..

I'm trying to picture where these tables are. When DS and I were there in 2001, we had lunch from the take out place that has fish and chips. We walk to the right to a patio that had tables away from the water. There were benches along the lagoon. Is this the same spot?

Everytime we go that area has been used as VIP viewing or for Ice Cream Socials. You're pretty lucky if you found it empty!

How soon do these tables fill up for Illuminations? Or do they fill up at all?

Every time we've been there they've been used for private functions. :( But I suppose it doesn't hurt to look or try.
