Last night DH admitted he likes WDW too, well not in so many words exactly. After years of DH rolling his eyes affectionately when I plan yet another trip I relented this past summer and agreed to do WDL & Southern CA in 2007.

The other day I found some good deals on airfare to LA and some good ones to FL and asked DH what he thought. He said he'd have to think about it. Then last night he finally said 'How about we just stick with WDW this year, the "kids" love it so much & its convenient. Lets just make sure we stay at the Poly, the "kids" really like the grounds. HA! My kids like the Animal Kingdom Lodge the best...but I won't call him out on it. This is the first time since 1993 that he has actually voiced wanting to go. Of course, I'm sure he will tell all his friends I am dragging him there (it seems to be the trendy thing to say) but now me & the millions of people on the DIS all know his secret... He really loves the Mouse after all. This confirms I married the right guy 13 years ago

My DH is going to Korea in January, unfortunately, he just returned from Iraq this past January,so we only had him for a year and we have to lose him again :sad2: He had to miss WDW in 2005 becuase he was in Iraq and when he found out he was going to Korea he said "I guess you guys are going to go to WDW without me this year?" AH HA! I knew it! You do like WDW as much as we do. I told him we will wait until he is allowed to come home for mid-tour leave to go and he seems to like this idea. He doesn't even complain too much about my obsessive planning for our upcoming trip in August 2007. We may have a Disney convert afterall :wizard:

:goodvibes It's so much nicer when they join in the excitement isn't it? :goodvibes

I haven't gotten mine to actually join in the excitement yet, but getting him to agree to a trip next year only a month after this year's trip was a step in the right direction :cool1: . He even went along with getting the Disney Visa card to start earning some cash back for the trip.

I'll know he's really hooked the day he says to me, "Honey, why don't you get to work on another Disney trip"!

You ladies imply that guys don't like Disney - but I think I'm far more hooked than my wife and I've only been once! I'm the one who has to plant seeds and push her to go. She always wants to be sensible and worry about silly stuff like money and budgets! I mean really - what price can you put on spending time at the most magical place on earth?!?!

Since I have been on these boards, I have seen a lot of men that love Disney. I guess it was an eye opener, that men do actually like Disney. My DH thinks he is just the pack mule for the trip, but after DL this summer when he got to go on rides with our son by himself, I think he has a different view and looks forward to going again.
