question, do i have to open the frame before i open the photo? i keep getting a resized (?) transparent canvas when i try to add a frame to a finished photo. is the canvas the size of my original photo? can't find it in the missing manual book.
thanks

By adding a frame, are you trying to add a border around your image, or a decorative frame?
If added as a border:
Image> Resize >Canvas Size
Enter the parameters you want (thickness of the border) check that "relative" is on/off depending on the results you want.

usually i just add a border like you said but since there are all those frames available i was thinking of trying some of them( ie the brown paper one). but when i try to add it to the finished flattened image, it comes up as a transparent backdrop with a small frame around the photo. i can make the photo with frame attached larger to fill in the transparent part but don't know if that is also resizing the image or if the transparent part is the same size as the original photo is/was
