PSP Or Nintendo DSI - Which would you choose?

The DS allows you to use either DS games or Gameboy Advance games. Sometimes it is nice to play a classic. It is versatile which is nice because Sony seems to be going away from being able to play older games. According to the websites, the DS currently has 1,317 games whereas the PSP has 627. There was a time when it seemed like Sony was looking to stop developing for the PSP because new game releases were few and far between. Perhaps you are thinking about the Playstation...because yes, that has a heck of a lot more games than any Nintendo format...but they do not have the same games. We have both, and I thought the PSP was great, but the game variety sucked. The DS can hold my attention and I have never been disappointed with the variety.

i wasnt counting in gameboy games no. so I guess coutning those you are right but as for graphics gameplay etc psp better IMO

The numbers I gave you were just DS games - counting the Gameboy games would be probably double that. PSP is more an adult or teenage system. The games are more mature and usually have a lot more violence. I wouldn't be comfortable with my nephews playing them. I would say it is a high school aged thing whereas the Nintendo could be a system for a child who is proficient at using a computer and has good coordination. I do agree that the PSP is cool - at least it really was in the beginning, but when games stopped being developed that weren't fighting or sports games (like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas) the system turned into a dust gatherer. A pity since it cost so much.

this part is false! taking into account how long psp has been around.

the wider variety part is somewhat true, but no psp does have more games.

i wouldnt say that, i would just say, having every gameboy and now ds as well as every ps, and psp in my household at one time or another psp is a much better product in my mind. Infact i know more people who have gone through 2 or more ds' w3hile my sons original psp is still going much less the newest psp.

I see there is a DSi and a DS lite...what is the difference...and if I got one of each would they be compatible with eacch other for game play.
