For those of you who are coming in the next few days I can't stress enough that you bring warm clothing, thermals are not a luxury atm, and keep as much covered as possible

The weather today was bitter over at the park, we went this afternoon around 14h to EoS and it was no fun walking around the wide open spaces with the wind chill.

Today it was a maximum of 2° but it never felt higher than -4.

Tomorrow morning they are forecasting for 9.00 am -5° which will feel like -11°

It will not get beyond -1° feels like -7° all day

Thursday will be even worse if the previsions hold as we will go down to -8° at 9.00am feeling like -15°

Best temperature all day will be -3° feels like -9°

For the moment it is dry and sunny, this afternoon we had maybe 5 minutes of very small snowflakes

These negative daytime temperatures are forecasted until at least Saturday

Now the cold weather comes :sad2: This is the weather I wanted when I was there the first week of January so we could wrap up and be cosy in hats and scarves and gloves! Instead we got very mild weather.... I suppose you can't win them all!

This is way colder than last years weather as we don't have the snow to "heat" things up.

It's no fun for little ones that's for sure and even big ones will feel it.

Just went out to the boulangerie and it was -4 and biting. :goodvibes

I'll be the next week... 6th to 9th. Just hoping it will be dry. Temperatures I can cope with, but dont want it to be wet.

Thanks for the local advice Carrie

Where's the 'sobbing uncontrollably' emoticon??

I hope it warms up, even a little, by the time we go on 9th Feb. We all have thermals etc, and DS will be wrapped up in a ski suit, but it will put a slight downer on the trip as I will spend the entire time worried about him getting frostbite on his face, lol.

Do all the rides still operate in that sort of weather?

Thanks Carrie, it is useful to have this sort of information from nearby.

Rachel x

Right now it's -2 looking at the thermometre and it feels like -9 according to the gadget that goes with it :sad2:

Have just informed by OH when he goes to work tomorrow am it's forecast -7 / feeling like -14

Rides will still be open no pb, cold weather doesn't stop them, it's high winds or bad snow

At least it's dry and sunny atm

Hopefully the anticyclone will move on after Tuesday next but for the moment it's too soon to tell

Will update daily temps :goodvibes

Was there this time last year and it was bitter. Layers can keep you warm (although am I the only person whose eyes and nose run permanently in the cold?) but it is the bother of all the undressing (coat, hat, scarf, gloves, salopettes, outer fleece etc. etc.) just to eat comfortably in the restaurants that really gets to me.

Thanks Carrie Cat!

Got my fingers crossed it will warm up, and if it doesn't hopefully we can brave it without it making us miserable.

I think the meteo on my phone was right after all ;) we had a fab day yesterday as the lack of queues offset the bad weather. millions of layers worked well but its your face and hands that get it! I really hope it warms up for everyone very quickly :)

That is sooo cold hope it warms up for every one going soon after having such a mild winter this is such a shock! x

Almost, almost :lmao:

I think it's going to feel like it tomorrow and Friday though as that's the 2 coldest days

How was Paris today ? Brutal I bet in the wide open spaces :goodvibes

You'll be happier to get back to your micro climate over there ;)

Ouch! We arrive on Saturday and are all prepared with thermals, layers, hats, gloves, skiwear etc but those temperatures are scary! We don't leave til Thursday evening though so hopefully it will warm up a little for our last few days!

Hi Carrie Cat, well my living room was 6 degrees when we got back this afternoon so Im not sure about that!

Unfortunately we didnt make it to Paris after all as dp was really ill. It was my birthday too, I was pretty gutted. But we really did have a brilliant day on Tuesday, and we had a meal with Mickey and Goofy in the Disneyland Hotel at 6.30 and that warmed us all up pretty quickly and made us forget we were ever cold!

Happy belated birthday :wizard: I hope your dp is better now, it's no fun to be ill on holiday .

Glad you had a fab time at DLP though and you'll just have to come back and do Paris next time :goodvibes

It's 8.00 am and it's -9° real / feels like -16° :scared1:

The hotest forecasted today is -2° real / feels like -7°

There is more wind out there than yesterday so the air is sharper

They talked about possible snow this weekend across the region on the radio this morning so wait and see

Stay wrapped up and moving when outdoors - at least the queues should be shorter because of this weather :goodvibes

We were at DLP when the tempatures hit - minus figures.
Invested in a sheepskin rug for Morgan to sit on in her buggy, while being cocooned in ski suit, small sleeping bag etc.

Took lots of breaks inside with hot chocolate :goodvibes
