i have that same problem! i was reading a murder mystery the other night and DH was working a night shift-i almost NEVER got to sleep and when i finally did, every little creak woke me up! it was a loooong night, lol. i hope you get some rest today!

The same thing happend to my aunt a couple of years ago. She reads a lot of books and she decided to read a murder mystery book right after her son left to college. She stayed freaked out for awhile. She would always get up and check the locks.

Actually murder mysteries that are fiction don't bother me, but never read Ann Rule (true crime) when you're alone.......that is really scary! LOL

I've done that twice in the past. Never again. I also try not to watch anything on TV that might freak me out.
