So I’ve been at WDW the past few days (it’s amazing) using a wheelchair. When the CM asks if you’re comfortable walking 20-30 feet, always ask if there’s more standing! Sometimes I’ve transferred early and had to stand for 5 mins. So even if you can walk quite a bit, make sure to ask!

Especially at FoP and Rise.

I just wanted to add that at Flight of Passage, they are really wonderful about accommodating those who can not easily do stairs. Be sure to tell the CMs at the second tap point, and they will send you down to the appropriate theater pre-show rooms (first level, far right). I've been able to enjoy FoP so much more since I began letting them know that stairs are an issue!

Definitely an important PSA for people. The CMs seem to just be trained to ask "can you transfer?" or "can you walk a little?" and not think about the other steps involved in that that may cause issues for people - which means that, if you aren't super familiar with the ride and its queue, you can be in for an unpleasant surprise! FOP and Rise are the worst IMO when it comes to standing/walking after leaving your device. On Rise, they will let you take a chair (manual or electric) all the way until you board the droid vehicle to 'escape'. FOP you can take a manual chair all the way through the preshows, but they'll make you transfer out of anything with a motor into a loaner manual chair for the preshows.
