I was at MK for a few hours today. I left and got back to the parking lot (Guest Parking) about 2:15.

Seemed unusual as I noticed the car diagonally behind me seemed to have lights on. Went closer and found not only were lights on, but so was the engine, the car was unlocked, and nobody was there. My first thought was why would there be a Bait Car in the MK Guest lot.

However, saw it had Maryland tags. It appeared to be a new Chevy crossover SUV. So I ended up calling Security.

They sent out two cars, opened the car to check for bodies, and turned off the engine. Filled in a bunch of paperwork and left a note, on red paper, visible in the windshield for the Guest to go to Lost & Found to claim their keys.

I wonder will they first panic when they realize they don't have the keys or when they get to the car and can't get in.

So make sure you are not in such a hurry to get to the Park that you forget to shut off the engine, take out the keys, and lock the car.

OMG! I can actually feel the wave of panic that will come over them when they realize they don't have their keys.:rotfl:

My guess is that they were in a hurry to catch the tram to the T&TC....

True story.

One year we were skiing in Taos, New Mexico. We'd driven up to the mountain early one morning so we could have breakfast and hit the lifts just as they opened. We got out, ate breakfast and started skiing right at 9am when they opened up the mountain. Spent all day skiing until the lifts closed at 4pm. Gathered up our stuff and headed out to the car to go back to town for dinner and sleep. About halfway to the car we realized that the car keys were missing. We got to the car and low and behold there is was with the keys in it engine still running. For those counting thats 8+ hrs of idling in the parking lot.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, the doors were actually locked so we had to then wait for security to slimjim the doors.

Its great because I can look back on it today and laugh.
