On the dates that we wanted to do our planning session, our planner is unable to attend. She said that she could ask her Colleages to see if anyone can do it and refer all the information to her and she would book the date.

Has anyone done their PS with a planner other than the one assigned to you?

How did it go?

Was all the information that you discussed relayed back to you real planner correct and thorough?

Thanks

our planner changed like a month before the wedding, so that was something....

honestly, i feel like the PS is just for ideas, getting a sense of things, tasting menus. it is not the end all be all decision day? so i think you would be fine. there is going to be so much communication and revision after revision of the BEO - in fact, it may yet be a long while before you even get a BEO? if this is the only time you can go (because i do think it is more reassuring to see things) i think this will work fine.

i had made a power point type inspiration slide show and had sent that to our planner, sho also shared it with our floral person. i wasn't 100% sure we were going to be able to do a session in person, so thats why i made it. i think it communicated somethings - at least a vibe!

the thing i found most critical anyway had more to do with floral anyway, because they have swatches of things and some catalogs that you can get some very general centerpiece info etc... from. we got "more" defnitive info about the floral than the "overall" info..

Thanks that helped a lot...I think well prolly do our original dates with another person if the others that we picked dont work out

i'm glad! i think many former brides will tell you that the planning session isn't the "end all, be all" it's more of a beginning stage. so just being able to go and meet up and see food and get in the planning groove! i (sorry for my planning team!) had several phone conferences as the time neared and lots of email exchnages! :thumbsup2
