PS through resort concierge?

We are staying at AKL Concierge in August. Will the concierge staff help with PS (especially the elusive Cindy's ) prior to arrival or should we just make them on our own as usual? Wasn't sure whether this post should be in this area or in dining.

Yes that is one of the perks of using conciege, they will set them all up for you. I would suggest calling them as early as possible, especially on the Cindys, always a tough one to get.

I managed to convince my wife that the conciege was worth it the other day when the CR conciege told us the got us our reservation for Cindys the week before easter. In fact they got us every PS we asked for, and I definitely did not have the time to spend calling to get them myself.

Every reservation the concierge made for us this time, we were seated at the best tables (without asking). It is a good perk!

We where there last November. Although they had een trying to get Cindy's for us they were uable!

yess, the concierge will help you with PS, they are great!!

with Cindy's breakfast, just be sure to let the concierge know that you want it before the 60 day mark! I just did this with the YC concierge for my May trip, I let the itinerary planner know that we wanted Cindys breakfast, and that I was flexible with days, I tiold her we would take any day but preferably Tues, Wed or Thurs around 9am, I called yesterday and the YC planner told me they got me Cindys brkfst for Wed at 8:55am! pretty good huh!!??

The Poly Concierge was able to get us PS for Cindy's but I do all the other PSs myself. I am very grateful to the conc. staff for their help but I wanted to let you know that they told me that they do indeed fail to get Cindy's and that I should be sure and call myself to up my chances. As I understand it, the concierge desk has an alotment at each restaurant that takes PS's. They are alotted a certain number of tables to be reserved just for concierge guests. It's not A certain table, but a certain number of tables. In other words, Le Cellier may be sold out, but there still may be PS times available for conciege guests only. Thats why you may be able to get PS for Cinderella's Table if you are a concierge guest, while you may find that they re sold out if you called directly.
Not only that, you throw the responsibility in their court so you dont have to call at 7:00am on a certain day.
We also found that by having the concierge people do your PS for you, we received better tables.
When you show up for your dining, your name has a notation next to it that you are a concierge guest.

I have a question along these lines..... I have amde a few PS already for our upcoming trip this May..... Can I ask the Concierge Staff at the Poly to convert them to "concierge guest" PS's and hopefully get the better table perK?
