Looking for a new dining experience in Epcot? Norway's Restaurant Akershus could be just the ticket. The dinner is "All You Can Eat" with a large cold buffet and served "hot from the kitchen" entrees. For a review with photos, go to the PS Planning Guide.

Like Cinderella's Castle, you will find Norwegian flags from days gone by hanging from Akershus' vaulted ceiling.

Thanks, Scott, for sharing another great PS Spotlight with us! This is a restaurant that we don't see many reviews for here on the DIS Boards, and there are often questions about it, so I think this article will be very helpful to DISer's.

I ate here last April and really enjoyed the food. I must admit I'm part Norwegian and am familiar with most of the offerings. My husband enjoyed it as well but my 10 year old said he wasn't really hungry - not sure if it was because he didn't see anything he liked or if he really wasn't hungry.

We'd go back again.

I'm so glad that someone took the time to review Akershus! When I heard about the 'menu change', I wasn't sure what to expect.

This way seems to be more 'diner friendly' even though the hot dishes might take a bit more time to make. At least they wouldn't be sitting under a heat lamp waiting for someone to take a sample......

And I enjoyed the review so much that I had to go through the links and read the other two also!!

AKershus and Chefs De France are our two favorite EPCOT restaurants! We always use Akershus as our CP Pkg choice.

Well, we ate there Friday, Nov 19th and LOVED IT! What a unique dining experience! Our waitress was a sweetheart, although not too knowlegable about the brands of liquor the restaurant carried. That didn't matter to us, because she was delightful.

I pigged out on the cold buffet! Everything was delicious and very unique and I could have made a meal out of just those offerrings. But for our hot items, DH orderd a chicken pasta dish and the venison stew, while I ordered the cod and the lamb. The hot portions are tiny, but that is fine, because I like to sample as much as possible and hate wasting food.

We will definitely return to this restaurant!
