PS question...

ok..i think i know how this works..you call and ask for a PS and the place you want to eat,dat and time right?OK,,now,,who has done this and how well did it work out?Say i make PS for "MICKEYS MUNCHIE MANSIONS(yes i know there is no such place),,on FEB 19 at 7:30 pm,,,,what time should we show up?and..generally,,how quickly were you seated?TIA......

it depends on a lot of things re how quickly you are seated, the most we have ever waitied was at CP on a MNSSHP night and we waited for 45 min!!

We usually show up 15 minutes early....

We aim to show up 5-10 minutes. Usually we are seated within a few minutes. A couple times we waited 15-20 minutes, but the 20 minute wait was with a large party of 8, and they did put us together so that was understandable.

I try to be there 5-10 minutes early but due to Disney transprotation we often have been 5-10 minutes late. I have never been on time for a PS but I am usually late for everything it seems. They take you as the very next seat available after you check in. That has usually amounted to a very short wait time. At OHanas we waited about 10 minutes and that may have been the longest PS wait I have ever had. On the interesting side the longest I have waited for any table without a PS has been no more than 20 minutes (Teppanyaki June 2003--tremendous crowds in the parks) it seems.

Generally we're there 10-15 minutes before the PS time, however, we've had many experiences where:

1. We had a PS for 12:50pm, decided to show up at around 11:45am and was seated in less than 10mins

2. We had a PS for 6:00pm, overslept our nap and woke up at 7:45pm, decided to head on over anyway, and was there at 8:00pm, they still had our PS down and we were seated again in less than 10mins.

The PS gives you the first open table fit for your party and gives you preference over walk-ins.
