PS Question

Hi everyone... I am Kelly.. after lurking on several message boards, I decided I was too overwhelmed and needed to find one message board as my "home".. Well looks like DIS Boards won out!!! We are planning our first trip ever to the world for next October and I have a few questions about PS's. (as well as many other things)...

I read on a board that someone got up at 3:00
a.m. to get ready to start calling to make reservations. Was this West Coast time? I am on the east coast. What time do they start taking calls?

Also, DH and I are thinking about Crystal Palace PS for breakfast? What is a good time in your opinion to do it? I am interested in being able to walk down Main Street while the park is close and take some photos on the way to the breakfast so how much earlier can you enter versus your PS time?

Does Coronodo Springs run a bus to get there before the park opens or whould we drive over?

Also, can I make a weeks worth of PS's on the first 90 days mark (day of arrival) or do I have to call back each day so I am 90 days compliant?

Welcome! I'll help where I can...

PS can be made 90 days in advance of the dining date, so you need to call back each day for a multi day trip if you have your heart set on specific meals (if popular) or a specific time. I'm not usually so hung up on set dates/times that I do this, the exceptions being things like Cindy's breakfast in the castle, which unless you call at opening time on the 90th day prior you are not likely to have a seat.

Those talking about getting up that early are due to time differences. I believe they start taking PS at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

Buses do start running in advance of park hours, but I'm not sure by how much, or how early they will book a PS or let you though the gates to start walking in.

You can make PSs for the character breakfasts before MK opens. Their are special morning buses that start coming by the resorts early enough to get you to MK before your PS. I think we got picked up at the BCV around 730am and our PS was for 805am. We had plenty of time. They have a special gate to the right side of the main gates. It is for the people with early PSs. They didn't check anything for us in Dec. We just told them we were going to Cindy's. It's so much fun walking down Main Street without hardly anyone around. They do have the picture people out taking pictures. We got one done and it turned out so good.

I've read that transportations starts early enough to get people to the first possible character breakfast seating - even when it is before the park opens.
