Hi Everyone,

We are going to WDW April 21 - 28th (Can't wait!). My question is: I have made all our PS for dinners, such as O'Hana's, Concourse, Rainforest in Ak, & Sci Fi, but I have only made one PS for Breakfast and that is @ Chef Mickey's. Do we really need PS for Breakfast?
If so what are everyone's recommendations? We have never stayed or eaten @ WDW before. :confused3
Thanks so much for your help!! I love these message boards & have gotten tons of great tips!!

Well, it depends...are you big breakfast eaters? We like to do one big breakfast while at WDW, but usually most mornings I have something light and DH may get something more substantial at a food court.

One year, we did a character breakfast EVERY MORNING for 5 days straight. UGH...DH and I could not eat eggs for several weeks after that trip. So that was definitely overkill.

What resort are you staying at? You may want to plan on having a breakfast there at least once.

I have never gone in April, so I do not know how busy it will be. Most of the time I make my PS for breakfasts the same morning. We do not like to wake up a a certain time while on vacation, so it is hard to plan our PSs until the same morning . That is why sometimes I just call Disney Dining at about 8 or 9 a.m. and make a Bfast PS for 10 or 10:30.

BTW-Chef Mickeys is "so far" our favorite character breakfast. You will love it.

There are alot of good places to have breakfast at WDW. We enjoy Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, Spoodles at the Boardwalk, and Cape May Cafe character buffet at the Beach Club.

Do you need PSs? If you want to go early and not have to wait, yes, Alot of times, we don't make these till we get down there as they are not hard to get.

We do breakfast everyday when at WDW and it's always a buffet or table service. We've never made PS for breakfast. Some of our favorite spots-
Fresh, Kona, Boatwrights, Boma, Maya Grill, Olivias.
Should add that every now and then we'll have a 5-10 minute wait(Kona and/or Boatwrights usually) but 90% of the time we walk right in. We usually do breakfast between 8 and 9 in the AM.
I would add however that if you have your heart set on any particular spot and you know what time you'll be having breakfast, and time is of the essence in getting in and getting out, it wouldn't hurt to make a PS.

The only breakfast PS's we make are for the character breakfasts, but that's because the rest of our breakfasts are just a quick, light bite that we either eat in our room or grab somewhere along the way. As Uncleromulus said, if you really want to eat at a particular restaurant for breakfast, and you know what day and time you'd like to eat there, it certainly wouldn't hurt to make a PS. Otherwise, I think you'll be fine to just wait until you're there and make a PS that morning.

Happy planning! :)

If you eat sitdown breakfasts at prime hours you will definately need a ps, if you eat at the crack of dawn, right when the restaurant opens..you should be ok.

Thanks so much for the info!! We are staying at CBR. We would to do a few sit down breakfast and then have quick bites the other mornings.
What is everyone's favorite sit down non character breakfast place?

We usually do 1 or 2 sit down breakfasts during a week trip and the rest are food court or bakery food.
Chef Mickeys seems to be a must do for us, but for no characters I like Kona Cafe or Boma.
We also enjoy the Main St Bake Shop in MK for a quick morning bite(usually after we do Fantasyland on EE days).

Its hard to beat Kona Cafe for breakfast--the best coffee in WDW. However, the secret seems to be getting out. The last two times we went (last April and last October) we didn't make PS, and waited well over an hour both times, and these are not usually peak times of the year. We're going back this April, and will make PS for breakfast for sure.
