Hi, I am new here~ this is my first post actually! I enjoy reading the boards and have a question for you...If I make a PS at Crystal Palace for breakfast on a Magic Kingdom extra magic hour day, will I be able to enter the park early if I am not staying at a WDW resort? I thought I read a tip somewhere from a woman who said that she made the earliest PS time at CP on an extra magic hour day and was let into the park after eating, but before the official park time even though she was not a resort guest. Does anyone know if this is true? Thank you!

WDW bound 05/03!!

I think this would be true as they do not check anyone except for the PS list at the front. I'm not sure I would do this though, as when you finish breakfast it's probably only going to put you on rides about 15 minutes early anyway, and the EE park is always the most crowded on its appointed day. If you're staying off property be at the gates of the non early entry park 20 minutes early and your time will be used much more efficiently. Or, do an early PS at the non- ee park and you'll be ahead of the crowds. Make sure you check your maps though, because if you eat at Donald's at AK at say 8:05, and your objective is to be on the Kilimanjaro Safaris first, you'll have to be very fast on that full stomach!!:) :)

Definately do an early ressie at a non-ee park. It really works great!

just got back
our first day happened to be a thurs and we like to do crt breakfast
we were offsite and out res was for 8am
we were done by 8:30 and were able to enjoy several of the rides without any waits

We do it backwards....we try to get the latest possible seating for breakfast in the parks on EE day. Then, we ride the rides until our ps time comes, eat, and then leave that park and skip to a different one. It usually works out that we have about 2 1/2 hrs to ride and then a late breakfast at 10:30 or so. But, that works only if you stay on-site.

If you are staying offsite, avoid all Extra magcic Hour days!

Do the day "after" strategy. You can still get a ps for one hour before the parks opens (8 am if the park opens at 9). This is better. You will finish with breakfast before anybody is let into the park. Crystal Palace is wonderful first thing in the morning!!! If you have little ones, head through the castle and wait for rope drop to Fantasyland. Do dumbo and Pooh first.

If you have thrill seekers with you, head to the tomorrowland rope drop or Frontierland.

I am so glad to hear that this plan works out for you. We hope to get a late seating at EE Park on our trip in May for 2 or 3 different days. We like to be out of the EE park by noon anyway.
We are trying to make the absolute best use of our precious Disney time.

Do you feel like you get to see and ride enough in those 2 1/2 hours. This is my family's concern??

Also do you eat anything before you arrive? I'm thinking of giving the kids a cereal bar to tide them over until our PS.

Thanks,

Cindy

Thanks for all your answers...I decided to do what Susy suggested and made the PS for 8:05a on a non early entry day. (a Monday) I can't wait!! Apparently the *early* PS times are for resort guests only even on non early entry days. One of the CM told me the earliest time she could give me was 9:15a because the park doesn't open until 9:00am but another CM told me that 8:05a was available and she gave it to me. Hmmmmm.... Regardless, I'm happy because I got all the PS times/dates I wanted! We'll be going to the Character ice cream social at the Garden Grille in Epcot and dinner at Chef Mickey's as well! I need to keep saving the pennies!!!!!! :bounce:
