PS cancellations: Available as cancelled or cycle until the next day?

ARRGGGHHH!
DD decided at the last minute that it would be fun for she and I to eat "in the castle" while Daddy is at the sign show on Saturday.

I have been calling all week to check for cancellations for 04/17 (this Saturday), to no avail, of course.

Today would be the 48 hour cancellation window for people to get their deposit back.

MY QUESTION IS:
If someone cancels a PS today, does it immediately become available, or is it held until tomorrow morning?

Basically, do I need to call every hour today???? We have a PS for Crystal Palace, but it just isn't the castle, you know?

It wouldn't hurt to call and try again and then ask the CM if there is nothing availbale when should you call back.

Can you try for lunch reservations? It would still be eating in the castle. Snow White and Dopey were in the lobby when we had lunch in the castle.

They usually go back in the system right away. I coordinated my cancel of CRT with another DISer who sat on the phone with a CM waiting for the reservation to go back into the system. There are exceptions to this though. A CM told me that somehow that restaurants can get overbooked then the PS cancelations don't go back into the system.

what happens to PS that doesnt have a fee? do they just stay open or if they dont show up in 10 minutes it goes back into the system?

There is also the princess storybook breakfast in Norway at Epcot. I know it's not thee castle, but it still is a castle with princesses.

Thanks everybody. Turns out that is cool with Pooh, so that's good. We will be having breakfast at Crystal Palace tomorrow. We've done Cindy's twice before and although she and I like it, DH is luke warm on the food.

I may try for Princess Storybook for our next trip. We also have Donald's on our "To Do" list.
