PS at Whispering Canyon for Lunch?

We expect to be checking in to WL @1:30-2:00 pm and would love to hit lunch at Whispering Canyon right away. Since we don't know exactly what time we'll arrive I hesitate making a PS. Are they really busy after 2:00 or will we be able to get in without a PS. Thanks

Depends on when you're going, but I would doubt a PS is necessary. I have found that most resort restaurants are very quiet during the lunch rush; you'll likely be arriving past this time anyway.

When I am at Magic Kingdom I almost always hop on the monorail or boat to one of the nearby resorts for lunch. I think you get better food without the crowds.

DD and I had lunch there on our arrival day around 2-2:30 last August and had no problem getting in right away. It wasn't too busy. Most guests are at the parks this time of day.

We hope to catch lunch at WL on our arrival day also, and are looking at a later lunch..... have been wondering about the rush also! Thanks for posting the question!

IMHO resort restaurants that serve lunch are usually quite quiet at lunch time.
