We have a PS at the Crystal Palace for 8:30 on a non-magic hour day. If we get there at 8:00, will they let us into the park? If so, will we be alllowed to walk around or will there be CMs hurrying us over to the Crystal Palace? I really DON'T want to stand out at the park entrance for a half hour, but I don't want to cut it too close either. Any experiences you have had with PS's before the park opens would be appreciated! Thanks!

They make it pretty simple for those of us with priority seatings prior to park opening.

There is a separate line at the front gate, after you go through security. You should see a large sign that says "priority seating".

If you go to that area you will find a security person with a clipboard. He will look for your name on his list and if your name is there, he will direct you to enter the park where a cast member will direct you to CP and usually they will accompany you.

You are not allowed to "walk around" you must go directly to the restaurant.

This was the procedure when I was there in December, at any rate.

I need help with this, too. How do you get to the front gate? We drive our own car which means we end up at the TTC. Last year when I told the CM at the TTC that we had a PS she basically told us to run for the ferry when the gates open. Do you think it is better to take the resort bus or is there a proper way to handle this at the TTC?

We were in this situation in August. We checked in and were allowed in, and able to walk on our own. As we got into the first part of MK(beginning of Main St), a CM was near an old fashioned fire truck and asked us if we were going to the castle. Since we were he told us to hop on. We did and he drove us up Main St. It was so fun & DS had a blast ringing the bell.

At first I didnt realize what he was getting at and I sort of kept walking by him, until DH said we could get a ride. Had we not wanted the ride we could have continued walking alone.

I'm curious about this too. We have PS on 3/26 for Cinderellas Royal Table. Since the park is not open yet will there be a bus going there from our resort (POR) or will we have to drive that day?

Yes! Thes resorts have(or at least they did in August) a character breakfast bus. Just check at guest services at your resort for the correct time. Also, be sure you get the correct one as one went to AK and another went to MK, Cont & Poly.

If you drive and park at the TTC will you be able to get to an early PS at the MK? I'd rather drive than do the buses. How do you find out what the hrs of the TTC will be for your stay?

We have gone to MK for an early morning seating both ways. I found it easiest to drive to TTc and take the monorail. The ferry does not run early but the monorail did. The problem with the bus seemed to be that it did not leave our resort until after 7:30ish. We had been told 7:15 and were waiting before 7:10. By that time there were many peopple waiting ahead of us at the turnstyles and by the time we actually got to the castle we were a few minutes late for our 8:05 and the dining room was already in full swing. We were not out until after 9:00, and had hoped to be at rope drop:(

I had the same question. What happens when you're staying off-site and you make a PS for breakfast...say Chef Mickey. What do you do then? Obviously we'll be driving into WDW. How does this work? Is it possible to DRIVE right up to the Contemporary? How does this work?

Help?

TTFN,
Maria

Snowmouse--
How did you get the CM's at the TTC to let you on the monorail? When I told the CM there that we had a PS at 9:10 she told us to run for the ferry when the gates open:confused: This time I scheduled the PS for 8:00ish--we are staying onsite so we can take the bus if we have to but I really prefer to drive.

Tigger in Ny,
Yes you can park right at the CR if you have a PS. Most of the resorts have a guard on duty who checks your name off when you drive in. You probably should move to the TTC parking lot after breakfast. Going to the parks while leaving your car at a resort you are not staying at is seriously frowned upon.

Mommystieg,

I didn't really 'get' them to let me, the monorail was operating so we just went up the ramp and got on. When we first came in, I asked if the ferry was operating and they said not till just before opening, so we proceeded to the monorail. This was at about 7:25am, on a day that MK was opening at 9 just a couple of weeks ago. I've never been told which form of transportation to choose at the TTC.
This really was much faster than when we had waited for the bus previously. There were already some people waiting at MK, but we did get to an empty turnstyle and made very good time up Main Street, but I'm definitely the 'commando' type first thing in the morning at Disney World!!
