PS at 50's Prime Time Cafe

Hi Everyone!

Anyone know why there are no priority seating times available after 6pm at the 50's Prime Time Cafe? When I called the woman said that the latest seating she could book was 5:50. Will this change as our trip gets closer (July)?

Maybe all of the time slots are taken... My family couldn't get PS's for Chef Mickey's for ANY time during our stay. Call back and cross your fingers; maybe another time will open up for you.

I made our PS for Prime Time 90 days out (PS is for July 21). The latest they would give me was 5:55. The CM told me to try when it gets closer to 30 days out and sometimes they release the later hours then. Hope this helps.

Don't know why they do this, but this has happened to us on our last 4 trips and always the late times open as we get closer to our trip. We now just book the latest, then change it when it opens up. Because of this policy now, I don't even try to make any of my PSs until 3 or 4 weeks before arriving. Of course, I make my character PS 90 days out. I'm sure there's a theory to their maddness, just don't know what it is. We were at the 50sPT just 2 weeks ago and had a PS for 8:30 PM both nights. Made them about a week before we got there.

I just received my itinerary for our July trip that was set-up by Poly Concierge and our PS for 50's Prime Time is for 5:45 PM. We requested 7:30 PM but we were told that they close at 6 PM. I hope this does not mean that all of the CM's will be tired and ready for their shift to end. I'm actually thinking of switching to lunch one day. I would feel better if I knew for sure that they are open later. Are they part of the Fantasmic dinner package and maybe that is why there are no PS after 6 PM?

The Prime Time Cafe is not part of the Fantasmic Package. For some reason the restaurants in MGM only give out the early PSs in the beginning and then at the 30 day prior mark they seem to allow you to book the later time.
The MK restaurants were the same way when I called at 90 days, but the later times opened up once the park hours were posted officially.
You would think that since you are able to book at 90 days they would have all the hours available at that time, but they do not.

I'm 18 days out and I just booked a PS for 50's Prime Time at 6:10. I could have gotten a later time - that's just the time I wanted.

Thank you - I will try for a later time 30 days out. The 5:45 PM time is too early, considering we will be eating at CRT at 10:20 AM.
